Continue ReadingA jolt of energy when Gianna hits the court. She’s quick, has solid handles and can create off the drive. Amadio has the ability to score at all levels, but tends to focus on her teammates first. She can score in the paint.. around the traffic or over the top. She can make plays on the drive, or from the top of the perimeter.
Highlights
Dafina Ukaj
Dafina Ukaj
A complete shooter from any spot on the court. Ukaj has a calm demeanor and just goes through the game with a leveled head, but stays aggressive on all possessions. Finishing the game with abundance of 3s, Dafina has notched her name as one of the best shooters at the entire tournament.
Her body control in the air is something else.. but her aggression on both sides of the court is what stands out the most to me. Cole will take the challenge of defending the best player, and being the best player for team on ever game day. She plays with such fire and passion that you can see it rub off on a lot of teammates. IUPUI is getting a player who has tons of heart and a will to win each game. A top guard in the state for a reason.
Kiki Craft
Kiki Craft
If you want to find a player who plays with 100% effort every time she steps on the court, look no farther than Kiki Craft. Her rapid fire paced defense and anticipation of her opponent’s actions allows her to stop a shot before it happens. She is fleet-footed, knows her role, and executes with an ease not seen in many underclassmen. Her stat line may not be one to make headlines but her presence on the court torments her opponents.
Aggressive but calm.. Brynn skill set is deep, and even with a deep talented team.. she still finds ways to stand out, but still blend in with the teams “team first identity”. Good touch around the rim, strong and balanced in the paint and will knock down the free throws when she gets to the line. Eshoo’s upside is clear.
Playing in the best game of the day, Warner went through every possession with a balanced mood, but stayed ready for when she was needed. Knocking down some two big 3s throughout the game to keep her team in it. The release and form aren’t rushed and she seems to not feel the “pressure” when things seem tight.. When Warner gets going she’s hard to deal with it, she’s showed multiple times this season that she can ring off 4+ if she gets the opportunity.
Sadie Sterbenz
Sadie Sterbenz
Every team needs at least 5 Sadie’s. Her game is whatever you need all day. Every possession this kid plays her heart out and leaves it all out there. Defends at a high level, chases down and dives at every loose ball, and still has the motor to help on the offensive end when her number is called for. She’s aggressive and plays with a chip on shoulder.. you just have to love it. The soccer program at Middle Tennessee State is getting a hell of athlete.
