Kelechi Dike Kelechi Dike 5'11" | SF Fort Bend Austin | 2023 State TX has been on a tear with her Fort Bend Austin squad, new subscribers use simmiecolson30 to see more
#64 Lacey Rice Lacey Rice 5'8" | SG Amarillo | 2023 State TX -5’8 SG (Amarillo)
Rice adds more to her talented Amarillo club squad. I enjoyed watching her not only create her shot under pressure in the Spring Creek Mansfield Invitational, but I equally enjoyed her knocking it down from outside, in the clutch. She has a nice first step and uses her athleticism and body control well to finish, plus she finishes after contact. She also hit the boards, on both ends, understands positioning, and outrebounded taller players
#70 Elise Jones Elise Jones 5'10" | SF Midlothian | 2023 State TX -5’10 SG (Midlothian) Lamar
Jones gave the defenders the JONESES and I truly understand why she picked up an offer at the Sandra Meadows Classic because she was hard to handle. Her college-ready frame, being long and athletic and able to elevate not only on her jumper, she drops the mid to long range, but also off the dribble as she soared over defenders for baskets. She rebounded, on both ends, and even handled the ball coast to coast to either drop the stop and pop in transition but show solid court vision. She also defended strongly
#80 Natalie Cardenas Natalie Cardenas 5'10" | SG Bishop Lynch | 2023 State TX – 5’10 SG (Bishop Lynch) Henderson State
Cardenas hasn’t been where I was in a very long time yet I did catch her going off in the Sandra Meadows Classic. She plays within herself, she understands how to create her shot and she doesn’t force them. She also knocks her shots down, with a hand in her face, from mid to long range. Her deceptive first step enables her to attack and finish, she sees the floor, rebounds, and defends
#90 Kelechi Dike Kelechi Dike 5'11" | SF Fort Bend Austin | 2023 State TX – 5’11 SF (Fort Bend Austin)
Dike is long and athletic, and that will always be the base but watching her come out of nowhere and snag rebounds, then go coast to coast and finish has been GRABBING me since day 1. I love her progression and her being able to add more to her game has been a plus, her “on the ball” defense, baseline to baseline is good, and so is her interior defense plus she adds timing to the equation as she blocks shots. She also is dropping the outside shot as well as scoring around the basket
#93 TiAna Davis TiAna Davis 5'8" | CG Lebanon Ttail | 2023 State TX -5’8 SG (Lebanon Trail) Shorter
Davis put on a show at the Spring Creek Mansfield Invitational, yet her creativity under pressure was something to see. She has a nice first step to get by defenders and her acrobatic finishes had me smiling but I also enjoyed watching her drop the jumper, especially from deep. She even dropped it while being off balance, and on the flip, she brought heat defensively
#98 Bri Bowden Bri Bowden 6'3" | C Allen | 2023 State TX -6’2 C (Allen) Arkansas Tech
Bowden proves size does matter when you can play. She doesn’t do anything fancy, she JUST DOES IT, and with her college-ready frame along with “hands and footwork,” she is a mismatch waiting to happen in the paint. Her Katy Classic performance also showed she could run the floor as well as defend inside the paint and rebound
