These are kids who would not surprise me if they finish a playoff game with north of 40 points in a game.
McKenna Johnson McKenna Johnson 5'9" | SG Wilmot | 2024 State WI
The Wilmot junior may be the best kid who doesn’t get the shine that a kid with her talent deserves. Johnson is a kid who’s consistently scored at will at the high school level and in EYBL. The lefty has a bunch of craft and skill to her game and can score in bunches. I feel like she could score 30 in every game her senior year and wouldn’t get the respect she deserves, but if her opponents don’t give her that respect, she’ll put 40 on them.
Teagan Mallegni Teagan Mallegni 6'1" | SF McFarland | 2024 State WI
Last season, with kids hurt and having to score as much as possible, Mallegni finished second in the state in scoring. This season, she’s played more away from the ball and dominated at multiple levels. She’s a walking mismatch, and I haven’t seen a kid who’s been an ideal matchup for her. Mallegni is an uber-talented kid and can make McFarland a sneaky pick to get out of their sectional.
Alexa Kinas Alexa Kinas 5'8" | CG Kaukauna | 2024 State WI
You won’t find many better all-around athletes than Alexa Kinas Alexa Kinas 5'8" | CG Kaukauna | 2024 State WI . You could make up a random sport, and Kinas would make it look like she’s been playing it for years. She can score the ball anywhere on the floor and stay in front of most guards in the state. She’s battled some injury issues, but don’t forget about the Germantown game at Watertown in December. The moment she had to be the focal point of the Galloping Ghost offense, Kinas thrived. Don’t count this team out of their sectional yet.
Lydia Aalsma Lydia Aalsma 5'10" | SG Waupun | 2025 State WI
If Aalsma gets her offensive game going, there won’t be a lot defenses in D3 will be able to do about it. The sophomore is one of the most organized players in her class. There isn’t a kid I’ve seen who knows what shots she wants and finds ways to get to those spots every time. She loves her elbow jumpers, and she can get to that spot whenever she wants, and if those fall, Aalsma becomes dangerous, and when she becomes dangerous, that makes the Warriors one of the most challenging teams to defend.
