Continue ReadingI loved what I saw out of Tasia Agee Tasia Agee 5’7″ | SG Warner Robins | 2023 State GA . More of a shooting guard in the past whenever I watched her, Agee played like a true point guard on Tuesday as she handled the ball and initiated the offense throughout the game. Tasia’s outside shooting has always been one of her strong suits and it was again the other night, but her playmaking is what really caught my eye. She did a great job attacking defenses off the dribble and creating offense for others, dropping off passes to the open man. She put defenders in a tough spot, unsure whether to commit fully to cutting her off and contesting a shot or sagging off a bit to try and pick off any last second passes. Agee scored at all three levels, hitting a pair of threes, scoring from the mid-range and at the rim. She posted 16 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The 3.6 GPA student should start getting serious looks at the D-III and D-II level.
When Warner Robins needed big plays late, Jada Morgan Jada Morgan 5’8″ | CG Warner Robins | 2023 State GA ran to the ball and did whatever was needed to secure a 66-64 win. The South Carolina State-signee poured in a game-high 23 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks, netting 7 points in the fourth quarter including the go-ahead bucket with 1:43 to play on a tough layup through contact in transition. The pit bull competitor struggled from the foul line but hit three threes and got Veterans in foul trouble with her downhill drives.
Kynnadi Howard
Kynnadi Howard
Kynnadi is an unsung hero for the Demonettes. I appreciate her consistency and how hard she plays. Howard excels at doing the dirty work. Listed at 5-foot-9, Kynnadi has long arms and a nose for the ball. She’s a really good rebounder and a solid low block defender. Howard tallied 8 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks.
Tori Davis
Tori Davis
Tori Davis delivered timely shots including a dagger three-pointer that made it a 63-59 game with 1:05 to play. In total, Davis would nail four three-pointers and finish with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Her shot making helps space the floor to allow driving lanes for Morgan and Agee. Her offensive boost was imperative as Nevaeh Mack Nevaeh Mack 5’5″ | PG Warner Robins | 2024 State GA battled foul trouble.
Xavier has already offered the big guard. Nelson has good footwork and blends strength with pace of play. The freshman is good in transition, able to get all the way to the rim or pull-up for short jumpers. Nariah has a good looking outside shot and is able to consistently get to her left hand on drives. She did a little bit of everything, collecting 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block.
Foul trouble sent Gabby Minus Gabby Minus 6’1″ | SF Veterans | 2026 State GA to the bench in the second quarter before she eventually fouled out with 4:05 to play in the fourth quarter, but in between she flashed her elite upside as she helped Veterans crawl back into the game. Minus, who holds offers from UC Riverside and Xavier, finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in her sporadic time. Gabby has great length with an athletic frame and fluid movement. She’s a nimble driver that uses euro steps to avoid defenders. Gabby can high point rebounds with her long arms and springy leaping ability. She is able to guard both in the paint and on the perimeter but has to learn to do so without fouling as much. Minus has a high ceiling. I wouldn’t be surprised if her development lands her on the wing full-time at the next level.
Rionna Byrd Rionna Byrd 6’1″ | C Veterans | 2024 State GA is rising her stock. Still thin for a post, Byrd showed functional strength, able to bang inside when snagging rebounds and scoring through contact. Her length can be difficult to contend with if she’s not blocked out properly. Rionna lived at the line going 6-11. Rionna needs a little more arc on her shot, but she is a willing shooter from the mid-range. Defensively, Byrd anchors the paint as a shot blocker and has active hands when deflecting entry passes. Rionna had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks vs. Warner Robins.
