Kathleen Obisike Kathleen Obisike 5'11" | C Hope Christian | 2023 State NM “Hope Christian” The Huskies post-player Kathleen Obisike Kathleen Obisike 5'11" | C Hope Christian | 2023 State NM is among the best players in New Mexico this year. The Star Center is averaging a monster double-double of 19.3 points per game and 15.2 rebounds per game this season. In New Mexico she ranks 6th in scoring and leads the state in rebounding this year. She will be a force to be reckoned with in this tournament this weekend.
Aaliyah Nevarez Aaliyah Nevarez 5'10" | SF Highland | 2023 State NM “Highland” The Highland Star; Aaliyah Nevarez Aaliyah Nevarez 5'10" | SF Highland | 2023 State NM is one of the most underrated players in New Mexico and comes into this Hope Christian Invitational as one of the most polished at her position. She is a solid scorer and rebounder at the guard/wing position. Aaliyah averages 13.4 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Highland Hornets. Their team looks to get back on track before the start of district play and this tournament could get them rolling.
Alyssa Vigil Alyssa Vigil 5'8" | SF Hope Christian | 2023 State NM “Hope Christian” The Forward from Hope Christian will be a big name during this tournament. Alyssa Vigil Alyssa Vigil 5'8" | SF Hope Christian | 2023 State NM is having a stellar season for the Huskies averaging 16.8 points per game as a top 15 scorer in New Mexico, and averaging a solid 5.7 rebounds per game. She is the second option on the Huskies but can be the number one scoring threat any night out.
Danielle Johnson Danielle Johnson 5'8" | PF Bloomfield | 2024 State NM “Bloomfield” Despite being an undersized Forward, Danielle Johnson Danielle Johnson 5'8" | PF Bloomfield | 2024 State NM is a near double-double threat with her scoring and glass-cleaning off the boards. She is having an excellent junior year campaign averaging 12.6 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. Through 1he first twelve games of the season, the Bloomfield Bobcats are 8-4 this year thanks to her great play.
Lillyanna Martinez “West Las Vegas” The freshman Point Guard Lillyanna Martinez is making a case for being in the freshman of the year conversation. She is having a great freshman year averaging 12.4 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. She is a dual-threat Point guard who isn’t one-dimensional. She can definitely stuff the stats-sheet.
