Michigan lacks enough media outlets to give these girls proper respect and proper coverage. I just want to give a shout out to some kids that flat balled out this week.
Everyone makes a big deal about kids hitting the thousand point mark for scoring, which is understandable because it isn’t easy to do. What do you do when a kid hits the 2k mark? Macey Fegan Macey Fegan 5’11” | SG Standish-Sterling | 2023 State MI just joined that elite club and did it in style, with a 51 point performance. I’ve coached against this kid- she’s a nightmare matchup.
The Romulus product is having quite the January. This week she was able to knife her way through a 2-3 zone to hit a bevy of layups and floaters to the tune of 33 points and five assists. Earlier this month, she went off for 49 points.
Highlights
The kid is just a shooter. Hemlock has been one of the better Mid-Michigan programs you haven’t heard of before for several years. This is too bad because Regan is super fun to watch. This week she dropped 25 point as she hit every type of three pointer imaginable.

The freshman had the game of her season against an Utica Eisenhower that is just steamrolling through their season. She led her team with 16 points and four assists. Keep on an eye on this kid.
Eisenhower is having one of its better seasons in recent history, and senior Ava Stack Ava Stack PG Utica Eisenhower | 2023 State MI is a huge reason. She dropped 28 points in a huge MAC-Red rematch. Eisenhower has avenged two of their three losses and is playing amazing ball behind Stack and a deep group of players.

Danica Dwyer
In the last decade, Owosso hasn’t won more than six games and has gone winless in two season. This season, they are 9-5 and just avenged an earlier loss to Corunna. Freshman Danica Dwyer is a huge part of this turnaround. The 5’5 guard played her way to a 16 point, six assist, three steal game top propel the team to 3rd in the Metro Stars Division.
