Charlotte Jasmin Charlotte Jasmin 5'8" | SG Hartford | 2026 State NewE , 5’7 G – Hartford High School Class of 2026
I recently read a piece from Valley News that said Jasmin has been practicing with Hartford’s varsity squad since fourth grade… so clearly she’s a hoop junkie. Charlotte plays 1-4, essentially, for Hartford as a do-it-all hooper. She defends a variety of positions, has both on-ball and off-ball smarts, and plays with an impressive motor. The Lone Wolf product drives 1.5 hours one-way over the summer simply to practice. She lives this game.
Sakoya Sweeney Sakoya Sweeney 5'6" | CG Lake Region | 2023 State NewE , 5’7 G – Lake Region High School Class of 2023
Sakoya led Lake Region to a huge early season upset against defending D1 champs, Rice Memorial High School, and her leadership shone through. Sweeney’s in constant communication on both ends of the court and her body language is consistently upbeat. Moreover, she’s a tactful PG who defends at a high-level and knows how to get everyone involved while remaining a scoring threat herself. Sakoya leads by example.
Josie Simone, 6’1 F – Peoples Academy Class of 2023
With great height and length, Josie is highly impactful. She’s an interior power due to her ability to bother shots with her mere presence, plus she’s a powerful rebounder and a quick outlet. On the offensive end, Josie has a number of post moves to create space or she’ll shoot over the top from 10 feet and in. Moreover, she’s a smart passer out of the post. Simone’s two-way abilities have helped PA to a 10-5 record.
Ruby Dasaro Ruby Dasaro 5'7" Bellows Free Academy | 2024 State NewE , 5’6 G – BFA St. Albans Class of 2024
BFA isn’t having the sort of season they would like to, but it’s not due to lack of effort, and Dasaro puts in a lot of effort. She’s a springy two-way guard who relishes tough guard matchups. Ruby utilizes her agility and footwork to hound ballhandlers, get into passing lanes, and work through screens. And offensively she’s an adept ballhandler and facilitator, plus she’s a savvy slasher and off-the-catch shooter. Let’s see if BFA catches stride in the February.
Jasmine Evans, 5’10 F – Rutland High School Class of 2024
RHS has been on an absolute tear the last six weeks, winning 10 straight contests, and Jasmine’s inside presence on a guard heavy squad has been key to their ongoing success. Evans is a rugged post presence. She’s physical defensively and on the glass, reeling in near double digit boards nightly. She’s still raw offensively, but her touch around the rim has shown improvement. Regardless, she defends, rebounds, and runs the floor. Jasmine’s dirty work is crucial.
Addison Cadwell, 5’8 G – Thetford Academy Class of 2024
Thetford sits at 3rd place in D3 standings with a 10-3 record. Their only losses have come against stiff competition: D1’s finest CVU and perennial D3 powerhouse, Windsor. Of course, Cadwell’s all-around game has been critical for Thetford. She’s a facilitator, a near three-level scorer, and a rugged inside/out defender and rebounder. Addison makes great decisions with the ball and her court-awareness is excellent. Cadwell has a nice feel for the game.
