As we have done previously, with just one player chosen throughout the state, we’ve decided to split it into the three regions of the state to give more recognition out to players. Here’s a quick rundown of some of our nominees for the week.
North Jersey
Aviva Palms Aviva Palms 5'7" | PF Henry J. Snyder | 2024 NJ – Woodbridge (2024)
Palms decided to go absolutely crazy against Middlesex this weekend, with an incredible 26-point, 26-rebound performance for Woodbridge, both career-highs for her. For the week, Palms extended her double-double streak to seven-straight, averaging 20.3 PPG and 15.3 RPG in three games.
Faith Fedd-Robinson Faith Fedd-Robinson 5'11" | SF Newark Central | 2024 State NJ – Newark Central (2024)
Fedd-Robinson joined the 1,000 point club for Newark Central this week and has been one of the most dominant forwards in the state this season. She averaged 28/15/4 in two games with 5.5 BPG and 6 SPG. The junior is currently averaging 21.5/12.7/3.9 for the year.
Matti Miller Matti Miller PF Piscataway Magnet | 2024 State NJ – Piscataway Magnet (2024)
Miller decided to just absolutely go off this week for Piscataway Magnet, posting two 25-point games and averaging 21 PPG over three games during the week as Piscataway Magnet went 3-0. She’s currently averaging 15.8 PPG this season in 15 games played.
Ghelsey Go Ghelsey Go SG Edison | 2024 State NJ – Edison (2024)
Go was dominant for Edison in three games this week, posting a 30-point double-double and three-straight 20-point games. All told, she averaged 27.3 PPG, 7 RPG and knocked down seven 3-pointers this week. Go has five double-doubles for Edison as a junior.
Central Jersey
Eli Clark Eli Clark 5'8" | PG Ocean Township | 2024 State NJ – Ocean Township (2024)
In three games this week, Clark averaged 20.3 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 3.3 APG, 3 SPG and 2.3 made 3-pointers a game. Her banner performance came on Saturday, a career-high 31 points against Wall and her second 30-point game of the season in a thrilling overtime victory.
Maddie Babula Maddie Babula 5'3" | SG Immaculata | 2025 State NJ – Immaculata (2025)
Babula was impressive in three games this week for Immaculata, averaging 16 points a game while putting up a 22-point performance on Saturday against Bridgewater-Raritan. She’s currently averaging 10.9 PPG this season.
Hope Masonius Hope Masonius 5'9" | PG Manasquan | 2024 State NJ – Manasquan (2024)
Big time players step up in big time games and that’s exactly what Masonius did in a top-ranked showdown against Chatham this weekend. All she did was score a career-high 25 points and hit four 3-pointers for Squan, who defeated Chatham, 55-49. It was her fourth 20-point game of the season.
Chloe Messer Chloe Messer 5'8" | PG Jackson Memorial | 2023 State NJ – Jackson Memorial (2023)
Messer stepped her game up a few notches this week, posting two 20-point games and a 28-point performance against Southern. She’s hit 11 threes in her last two games and averaged 22 PPG for the week along with 3 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.7 BPG and 2.3 SPG.
South Jersey
Janie Cross – West Deptford (2024)
Since Jan. 21 Cross has recorded three 20-point games, including two this week. She set a career-high with 25 points against Cherry Hill West and then came back and scored 24 in a win over Triton. Cross averaged 18.3 PPG this week and hit 3 three-pointers a game on average. She’s currently scoring 14.1 PPG for the Eagles.
Madelynn Bernhardt Madelynn Bernhardt 5'7" | SF Our Lady Of Mercy | 2024 State NJ – Our Lady of Mercy (2024)
Bernhardt had four games this week for OLMA and was consistent in all four, averaging 13.8/5.3/3 as the Villagers went 3-1. She also had 2.3 SPG during the week and is in the midst of a career year for OLMA.
Angelina Zagone Angelina Zagone 5'9" | SF Gateway | 2024 State NJ – Gateway (2024)
The junior seem to be showing out across the state, and what a performance Zagone had this week for Gateway, a 48-point masterclass against Lindenwold, knocking down 9 three-pointers. Not to mention she had a double-double in the game too. Zagone averaged 25.7 PPG in three games this week.
Hope Goodwine Hope Goodwine SF Highland | 2023 State NJ – Winslow (2023)
This season has been Goodwine’s season to shine for Winslow and what a better week to add not one, but two 30-point performances to her resume, including a career-high 38 points against Washington Township. Goodwine averaged 24.7 PPG this week for Winslow and is averaging 19.5 PPG as a senior.
