Etheridge made an impact throughout the game as even when she was not scoring, she was able to facilitate the offense and keep her teammates involved. She stays active on the offensive end – setting screens and finding the open areas so her teammates can get her the ball. Defensively, Ayrin works hard and does a good job of getting the ball handlers into the corners. She makes multiple efforts on defense and does well playing help side defense when the offense gets past one of her teammates.
Abby Tull 2023 – Metro Christian: Abby is an excellent shooter and she does a great job of controlling the tempo and pace for her team. She does not get flustered or overwhelmed when there is pressure and she knows how to manuever out of trap situations. Tull is very confident when she is on the floor and plays the game with a high IQ – she has a good understanding of the game & knows how and when to make the right plays. Abby did a great job of talking to her teammates and keeping the energy level high throughout the game.
Abigail Wilson Abigail Wilson 5'6" | SG Metro Christian | 2026 State OK 2026 – Metro Christian: Abigail made significant contributions tonight against Cascia Hall. She was aggressive both offensively and defensively – making a number of big stops down the stretch as well as hitting key free throws and jumpers to keep the Patriots close in the 4th quarter. She is only a freshman but she plays with poise and an innate trust in her abilities. Wilson will be a player to keep an eye on as she still has alot of room for growth and with more experience, she will definitely be making some noise in the years to come.
Ella Ausink 2024 – Cascia Hall: Ella isn’t a flashy player or a “look at me” type of player but she definitely gets the job done and plays both ends of the court, aggressively. She is, probably, the best ball handler for the Commando’s and with a little more comfidence, she would be able to manuever through the defense and get more looks at the basket. Ella can shoot the ball well and when she does attack the basket, she does a good job of finishing or getting to the line. Defensively, she does an excellent job of keeping her opponent in front of her and can get around screens, fairly well. Ausink just needs to trust her abilities more; once she realizes that she is one of the biggest factors for Cascia Hall – her game will evolve and her all around game will elevate.
