Bianca Williams Bianca Williams 5'10" | SG Essex | 2024 State NewE , 5’11 G/W – Essex High School Class of 2024
One of the best smartest and physically gifted two-way players in VT, Bianca is the full package. Williams is a three-level scorer, but you’ll rarely ever see her force her shot. She’s always in the flow of the offense but knows when and how to get a bucket, plus she’s a wise decision maker, especially in transition. She plays 2-3, defends 2-4, and is constantly on double-double alert with her work on the boards. Her defense is textbook and she plays with a high motor. Bianca leaves little to be desired.
Cherise Shamp, 5’11 G/W – Mount Mansfield Union High School Class of 2023
Shamp may be the best rebounder under six feet in the 802. She’s constantly in the mix on both ends and she gets a ton of second chance points + free throws due to her willpower on the glass. Cherise finds most of her buckets within 15-feet but can hit off the catch, plus she’s a quick decision maker and moves off the ball wisely. She defends 2-4 with dogged on-ball defense, gets in passing lanes, and is a nightmare in transition. Cherise leaves it all on the floor.
Cora Nadeau Cora Nadeau 5'9" | SG North Country | 2023 State NewE , 5’10 G/W – North Country Union High School Class of 2023
When watching Cora play it’s easy to see how natural the game comes to her. First, she scores at all three-levels with fluidity. Nadeau has a nice balance of playing within a system and creating offense, plus she makes her teammates better as she reads defensive coverage and hits cutters and screeners. She rebounds well, loves to push in transition, and is another one who guards 2-4. Cora plays the right way night in and night out.
Atika Haji, 5’10 G/W – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2025
A true bucket-getter, Haji can really fill it up. Atika’s three-level scoring package includes savvy slashing, nice floater game, and jumpers from all over the place. She creates much of her offense off the bounce and is quite efficient within 15-feet. Yet she’s an increasingly wise reader of screens and cutting lanes. Atika has great athleticism, length, hits the glass, and she has the ability to spark a run in a flash with her transition prowess and instant offense.
Elyse Berger, 5’11 G/W/F – Champlain Valley Union High School Class of 2024
With the strength and IQ of Elyse, she’s hard to contain. Berger has a strong frame that she constantly utilizes with smarts. Whether she’s on the glass, defending inside/out, or making space offensively, she is physical within reason and has great energy output. Offensively, she sees the floor well both in transition and the halfcourt and she’s a highly efficient scorer within 15 feet. Elyse defends 2-4, rebounds at a high clip, and is active in the passing lanes. She simply plays hard and smart.
Nicole Norton Nicole Norton 5'8" | CG Colchester | 2024 State NewE , 5’9 G/W – Colchester High School Class of 2024
Norton is a two-way hooper who’s a natural in the open court. Nicole can defend 1-3 with her speed, agility, and long wingspan, keeping ballhandlers in front with nice footwork. Off the ball her footwork translates as she works around screens and bumps cutters. Offensively, she’s efficient. Nicole uses minimal dribbles, gets to the rack in an instant, is a knockdown shooter off the catch, and sees the floor well. Norton can likely play in any system with her smarts.
Brianna Brownell, 5’9 W/F – Mount Mansfield Union High School Class of 2024
In Brianna you have someone who plays much bigger than she is; she can defend 2-4 but leans toward the 3-4 slot. First, Brownell has a high motor with her constant work on the boards, smart/quick defensive rotations, and desire to run the floor. In addition, she has textbook post/face-up game, plus her perimeter skill set continues to grow. She’s a knockdown shooter from 18-feet, finishes inside, and is a heady passer. Brownell is fundamental and loves to get out and run.
Ele Sellers, 5’10 W/F – Middlebury Union High School Class of 2023
Sellers has that modern 4 appeal. She’s an inside/out, three-level scoring threat who can create her own looks with her herky-jerk, change of pace handle, but also has the IQ to play off the ball. Additionally, Ele defends 3-4, is a smart rebounder, and is a coast-to-coast threat off the glass. Sellers shows her defensive wit off-ball with quick help rotations and anticipation, getting into passing lanes often. Ele sees the floor well and has great senses on both ends.
