Mili Watts
A softballer, Mili’s last name of Watts is appropriate as she brings electricity to the floor with her sparkplug energy. Mili is a relentless defender that flies all over the court. She’s got quick hands to pickpocket opponents. She picks up full court and is a true gnat, buzzing around the ball with her aggressive nature. While she is prone to picking up fouls with her eager nature to defend, the hustle Watts brings is invaluable. Mili recorded 4 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.
Mary Lovell
Mary Lovell
Last season Lovell emerged as an enforcer off the bench. The 5-foot-9 forward brings a rugged mentality, banging for rebounds and doing the dirty work on defense. Mary, a centerfielder in softball, does a good job reading caroms off the rim, attacking them at their highest point as she snatches rebounds down. She posted 11 points, 12 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks vs. Athens Christian while also taking a charge.
Ciera Brooks
Ciera Brooks
Scoop brought terrific energy, hustling for rebounds and making defensive plays. She has improved each year into becoming an impactful varsity player. She plays hard and is a capable defender that can guard her yard. Brooks had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Ansley Moore
Ansley Moore
Moore loves to drive the ball. She slinks her way to the basket and routinely caught Rabun County napping. She was good in the press, picking off errant passes. Moore was able to finish with both hands around the rim. Ansley posted 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.
Seeing the press of Rabun County will only help Josi as she continues to get varsity experience. The freshman is on the smaller side, but handles the ball well. Josi’s main source of offense came on drives, finishing with low scoop layups and unorthodox flip shots. Vaughn has good bloodlines and should develop into one of the area’s better playmakers. She had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block.
