Their is also a select few of players who can reach 1,000 points next season.
1,000 Point Club
Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM “Eldorado High School”
Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM from Eldorado High School became one of the fastest and youngest players in New Mexico History to reach the 1,000-point milestone. She accomplished the feat in just 33 games into her High School career. For some, 33 games is one full season if you include a deep playoff run. In 44 career games to this point, she has averaged 25.3 points per game in her short high school career. Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM currently sits at 1,113 career points as just a sophomore with plenty of games to go this year and the next two years. Don’t be surprised if she ends up in the Top Five in career points scored.
Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM “Centennial High School”
Just about a week or two ago, Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM became the 4th active player to reach 1,000 career points joining Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM , Leilani Love Leilani Love 6'1" | C Albuquerque | 2023 State NM and Kamalani Anitielu Kamalani Anitielu 5'6" | PG Farmington | 2023 State NM as the only other active players to do it. She is a four-year varsity player who is having a career year as a senior averaging 19.1 points per game this season. In her career she has scored 1,020 points. Throughout the last four years, Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM has averaged 14.8 points per game for Centennial High School.

Throughout her career at Albuquerque High School, Leilani has averaged 15.2 points per game and is averaging a 19.4 points per game this season.

Throughout her tenure with the Las Cruces Bulldawgs, she has averaged 11.0 points per game through four seasons with the basketball program. This season, Emma Christiano Emma Christiano 5'4" | PG Las Cruces | 2023 State NM is averaging 16.3 points per game and is on pace to reach 1,000 points within the next four games.

Sydney Benally Sydney Benally 5'9" | PG Sandia | 2025 State NM already has 908 career points in her second season with the Lady Matadors. As of 1/31/2023, she is the states second leading scorer averaging 24.8 points per game this season. That would put her on pace to reach the milestone four games from now on the road vs district rival La Cueva. Throughout her first two seasons, she has averaged 19.3 points per game in 47 career games for Sandia High School. The Two-Time Back to Back State Champion; Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM is near the 1,000 career points milestone. As of today, she stands at 793 career points and is 207 points shy of the achievement. She is averaging 16.2 points per game this year and if she stays at that current average, she can get to the 1,000 mark in twelve games. This means the Hawks would need another deep playoff run this year along with the remaining district games and district tournament coming up. Their is still a chance she gets 1,000 points this year but if she doesn’t, she will be a lock to reach the milestone early next season during her senior year.
