She is the 4A SPSL MVP and Defensive player of the year. She plays with a toughness at the point guard position that will be important to her team’s success. She can score as a threat from the perimeter, and excels at getting into the paint with her quickness. One of the reasons Emerald Ridge is a dangerous team heading into the state tournament.
She is an electric guard who can score with lots of creativity and quickness. Her ability to shoot the ball off the dribble is impressive and she will pull it from anywhere, anytime. Mount Si will be up against a great backcourt in Bellarmine Prep that will likely try to take away some of her scoring. She has the skills to get her shot regardless. This should be a fun match-up to watch.
She has a great feel for the game and sees the floor well. She can score and gets to the basket with great change of speed. Her ball handling skills, paired with her high 1Q and court vision make her an integral part of Gonzaga Prep’s success. She provided good scoring numbers in district as well to help her team to a 12 seed and home match-up with Decatur in a loser out game in the regional round.
4A NPSL all defensive selection. She may not score a bunch, but impacts the game in other ways as evidenced by the league recognition. Tahoma has league MVP Hope Hassmann Hope Hassmann 5’7″ | CG Tahoma | 2023 State WA and Angie Cavanaugh Angie Cavanaugh 5’7″ | 145 lbs | SG Tahoma | 2023 State WA , a first team selection to put up the points. When shots aren’t falling, defense travels.
She was a big part of Stanwood’s team that finished 6th at last year’s state tournament. She has signed to play at Lewis and Clark St. next year. She is a great shooter, who shoots the three at a high percentage. She can score on all levels and plays with a lot of confidence as a leader for Stanwood. She is an x-factor, to go along with standout center Vivienne Berrett Vivienne Berrett 6’4″ | C Stanwood | 2023 State WA .
This is the best player on her team. Ranked #9 by prephoops. Richland just missed a top 8 seed, coming in at #9. They don’t lack experience in the backcourt with Fox, who has multiple Mid-Co 4A MVP’s. She plays with a lot of fire, and gets after it on both ends. Her scoring is consistent, along with the overall impact she brings with her defense and rebounding. Richland is set to face Olympia in a loser out game Saturday. With that being a home game, the 3x MVP should carry her team into the round of 12.
