The number 1 ranked junior in the Class of 2024 is Devin Coppinger Devin Coppinger 5'10" | CG Nooksack Valley | 2024 State WA . She plays for a Nooksack Valley team that is the favorite in Class 1A. She plays on a team that will challenge for a State 2B title. She has an all around game that shines with her toughness as a competitor. She can guard any position on the floor and her offensive skills are well rounded and can be on display in the paint or from the three point line. She takes pride in her defense and is a huge part of the recent dominance that has been created at Okanagan. That philosophy is one of winning, something they do a lot of.
A small forward or shooting guard with decent size and the ability to knock down shots. She is on a team that is considered to be one of if not top team heading into the state tournament. She is one of the top three point threats for Colfax who will likely be playing for a trophy on Saturday. Possibly the biggest of trophies.
Ellensburg is hands down the favorite in Class 2A but Lynden could be a threat to give the Bulldogs a game. She is a top scorer and shooter for Lynden, who features several other underclassmen. She will be counted on to provide leadership and get buckets in the post-season.
She has shown some great improvements this season and has stepped up and had some big games for Nooksack. She has decent size and length that she can use to score inside. One of many talented young players on this team. Nooksack is the heavy favorite going into the 1A tournament.
Tumwater had a rough stretch while Kylie Waltermeyer Kylie Waltermeyer 5’9″ | SG Tumwater | 2023 State WA was out with injury. It seems her return is just what the doctor ordered. If anything, the injury allowed Brewer to become more of a scorer. She had to be a scoring threat because they were short-handed. That said, it all starts on the defensive end of the floor for her. She is one of the best on ball defenders in the state and has racked up a single season steals record along the way. She is a threat from three and can hit the pull-jumper from mid-range. She is a threat to get an unconventional double double any given night with points, steals, and or rebounds and assists.
