The Benson Techsters were tested early and often in the early season, starting things off in the East Coast against elite competition – it has paid off as they have steamrolled through the PIL. The Clackamas Cavaliers started the season on national radars as look to prove a statement with one of the most decorated rosters in the State. The Jefferson Democrats are a young bunch with an interesting group of talent as they look to prove their worth headed into March.
Benson Techsters
The Techsters have a plethora of talent, centered around the senior duo in Malaya LeSueur Malaya LeSueur 5'9" | SF Benson Tech | 2023 State OR and Onna Brown who are very much so yin and yang at the guard position. Center Mahogany Chandler-Roberts Mahogany Chandler-Roberts 6'2" | PF Benson Tech | 2024 State OR is the bulldozing machine who plays with authority yet poise. Mauriana Hashemina-orr is a poised point guard who scores with good accuracy as well as drops off dimes to her fellow teammates. Super freshman Samrah Massey is an incredibly gifted scorer who does it all at three-levels with much ease. Add transfer Eboni Clay Eboni Clay 5'6" | CG Benson | 2024 State OR into the mix and you have a truly formidable cast of Techsters who play with tremendous aggressiveness on both ends of their floor.
Clackamas Cavaliers
The Clackamas Cavs began the season on several top 25 lists and recently they have shown why. The Cavs have yet to lose a game to an In-State team as of yet and look to continue to do so to clinch a State Championship. On paper, they certainly have the looks of such a team. Household name Jazzy Davidson Jazzy Davidson 6'1" | SG Clackamas | 2025 State OR anchors the Cavs as a generational talent with grace and wit. Seniors Rhyan Mogel Rhyan Mogel 5'10" | SF Clackamas | 2023 State OR and Eliza Buerk Eliza Buerk 6'3" | PF Clackamas | 2023 State OR began the spark in the program as sophomores and look to lead. The talent continues with multi-tasking Dylan Mogel Dylan Mogel 5'9" | CG Clackamas | 2025 State OR and Allie Roden. Avery Peterson is the blistering guard whereas Sara Barhoum Sara Barhoum 5'11" | SG Clackamas | 2025 State OR the sniper that comes alive. The Cavaliers are a serious contender and look to continue the conversation.
Jefferson Democrats
The Demos have made noise all season long and have quite the cast of young talent on their roster. First and foremost is Abrianna Lawrence Abrianna Lawrence 5'5" | PG Jefferson | 2025 State OR , daughter of Coach Andre Lawrence. She leads her team with courage and strength through grit and example. Chauncey Lawrence is a forward who plays with tenacity and confidence. Twins Leila and Carmela Nunez are two intriguing forwards who have the ability to stretch the floor and take it gracefully to the basket. Brooklyn Chatman Brooklyn Chatman 5'6" | SG Jefferson | 2024 State OR has seniority, being one of the older members on the team and has taken a larger role as a sharpshooter as of late.
