Ava Williams (North Shelby): A 5’9″ 2023 forward who can excel anywhere on the court with her versatility and skill set. She handles the ball and she can facilitate and pass the ball. She can also go inside and score in the paint with a variety of moves. She is also very effective on the drive to draw contact. She is also a very solid rebounder.
Kaitlin Hatfield (Schuyler County): A 6’0″ 2023 forward who rebounds very well and she is a good finisher inside. She does a good job establishing position in the low post. She is also an unselfish player who can make the right pass. I also liked how she can step out and hit the 17 footer on the catch.
Caroline Lineberger (North Shelby): A 5’9″ 2023 forward was very impressive in the games that I watched her, including a game-high 21 points in the championship game victory over Schuyler County. She was very active around the basket with her scoring inside and she also knocked down the open 3-pointer. She runs the court well in transition and she is also a solid defender who can fill in multiple spots with her versatility.
Nariah Clay (Canton): A 5’8″ 2023 guard who has good athleticism and a high motor at both ends of the court. She does a good job as the team’s primary ball handler. She is a very effective slasher who can score on the drive with both hands. She is a hard worker on the defensive end where she could use her length and mobility.
Raina Small (Schuyler County): A 5’5″ 2024 guard who has good quickness and a nice first step to get to the basket. She handles the ball well and she is a capable 3-point shooter. She also moves well without the ball to get herself open.
Macie Glasgow (Canton): A 5’8″ 2025 wing player who scored 21 points in the semifinals against North Shelby. She attacks the basket well and she seemed to be always under control. She also made good use of ball fakes to free herself up for the drive. She could hit a runner in the lane or the open 3-pointer.
Kyley Magers (Atlanta): A 2023 guard who scored 17 points in the consolation game that I watched. She has quick hands on the defensive end and she will block She pushes the ball on the drive and she looks to seek contact in the paint. She’s fearless when she’s on the move.
Layne Mack (La Plata): A 2026 guard who who scored 22 points in the one game that I watch her play. She was very accurate with her high-arching 3-pointer that was bringing rain. She was also effective on the dribble drive with her quick first step. She also moves her feet well on the defensive end.
Ashlyn Laws (Schuyler County): A 6’0″ 2023 forward who was very impressive in the two games I watched her. She has good moves in the low post and she also scored on some assertive takes in the lane. Her interior passing was excellent as she was also very good at hitting open cutters from the high post. Her shooting touch from out to 15 feet was also on point.
