Taliah Scott Taliah Scott 5'8" | SG St. John's Country Day | 2023 State #31 Nation FL is an uber talented scoring guard that verbally committed to Arkansas on an unofficial visit in September, choosing the Razorbacks over Florida, Florida State, Texas, Louisville, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Alabama and a number of other programs. As a Junior Scott averaged 31.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.4 steals per game and has followed that up with an even more impressive Senior season currently leading the state of Florida with 37.3 points, along with 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 4.7 assists per game and recently surpassing the 2,000 career point mark.
Whether it is high school or travel season, Scott is a high-volume shooter that drops buckets. She can do it all in a variety of ways, off the dribble, at the rim, deep from 3, and everything in between. She plays with a ton of confidence and is at her best creating her own shot off the bounce. It is a huge well-deserved honor for her to be nominated and then selected to the most prestigious All-American game. Look forward to seeing her rep Florida!
Emma Risch Emma Risch 6'2" | PG Palm Bay | 2023 State #23 Nation FL (Palm Bay Magnet / East Coast United) – 6’2 Guard – Notre Dame
You can bounce around to court after court on the prep scene in search of a 6’2 point guard and you will not find anyone that matches or fits the description of Emma Risch Emma Risch 6'2" | PG Palm Bay | 2023 State #23 Nation FL . A high IQ playmaker with excellent court vision does a good balancing being a playmaker / distributor setting up her teammates, creating her own shot off the dribble, and knocking down open shots from 3. Risch’s current stat line gives you an insight into her balanced overall offensive game averaging 24 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game this season as a Senior after averaging 20.5 points, 6.9 rebound, 4.0 assists and 3.1 steals per game in as a Junior.
Risch was well known in Florida for several years but really made huge jumps on the travel scene each of the last two summers shooting all the way up into the top 20 of national rankings. Her perimeter shooting is elite and combined with her height, skill set, and basketball IQ, she really separated herself amongst the top level competition.
Her future college coach Niele Ivey from Notre Dame had this to say in announcing Risch signing with the Irish:
“Emma is one of the best shooters I’ve seen in a very long time. She has an incredible IQ, deep shooting range and elite vision. Her size and ability to score in all three levels separates her and will translate to college basketball immediately. I’m looking forward to the positive impact she will make on our team on and off the court. We can’t wait to welcome her to South Bend!”
