Nia McKenzie Nia McKenzie 5’11” | SG Eaglecrest | 2023 State CO has made strides in her game over the last 3 years. Those strides have put her name into the conversation of best players in the state. Out of all the girls in this class, Nia stands out the most because of the size and athleticism. At 6’0 she’s capable of playing 1-4 effectively on both ends of the floor using her size to disrupt smaller guards defensively. Meanwhile using her speed to get downhill when guarded by bigs. This past season we saw Nia start to extend her range a little more and knock down the 3-ball with confidence.
After battling injury early in her career, Cayden King Cayden King 5’10” | SG Moffat County | 2023 CO has come back with a vengeance. Over the last 3 years, she has been a difference maker for Moffat County giving them 100% on both sides of the ball. Cayden has been a reliable shot-maker over the years, causing teams to put bigger defenders on her or apply more pressure by forcing her to the rim. What they quickly learned was that she is more than a capable finisher. She has a complete game and that makes her a difficult cover each night out.
