Kinsey Trujillo Kinsey Trujillo 5'8" | CG Roosevelt | 2024 State CO – Roosevelt – 2024
Trujillo has shown growth as a facilitator for the 5A state champions, carving out her niche within a stacked group. The guard does well to immediately put pressure on the rim from the catch, attacking downhill before recovering closeouts stagnate the defense. Through her season with the 5A state champions, Trujillo posted 5.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and team high 3.8 assists per game. The guard possesses quick instincts, searching a those long range skip passes or shotmakers while coming off the dribble. It should also be mentioned Trujillo is adept setting up rollers for easy looks in the paint.
Alanna Biosse – Cherokee Trail – 2024
Biosse seeks out scoring attempts around the rim, constantly putting pressure on the defense. The 5’5 guard plays much bigger than her height on paper, embracing the contact from help. She should be a valuable piece to this group from her driving efficiency alone. On the opposite end, she competes versus ballhandlers, keeping up with most guards. Through the junior’s season with Cherokee Trail, she has put up 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
Brook Meza – Roosevelt – 2024
Meza has been effective finding looks around the rim through her rebounding tenacity and high IQ pace in the halfcourt. The 5’11 forward will be an important interior defender, providing sturdy contests in the paint. Through the forward’s junior season with Roosevelt, she posted 11.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. She does the dirty work going to rebounds and finding a body to box out, regardless of the opponent. One area of intrigue will be Meza’s passing vision either from the high post or coming off of potential drives.
Brooke Gomez – Westminster – 2024
Gomez dominated on both ends last week through her attention to detail on the defensive side, while continuing her aggressive mindset with the ball. The guard kept up with multiple backcourt opponents, impacting drives against bigger guards and blocking shot attempts into the stands. Through her junior season at Westminster, she has put up a myriad of stats, posting 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4.1 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. Gomez will be a valuable two-way piece for this group, providing a team first mindset that truly impacts winning.
Ben Kayser-Cochran – ThunderRidge – 2024
Kayser-Cochran provides a baseline of defense stunting drives, rotating on-time when needed. At roughly 6′ tall, the junior forward will be an impactful help side defensive piece who has upside spacing the floor. Through her season with Thunderridge, the forward contributed 32% of triples and 50% of two point attempts. She did her part spacing the floor, either beyond the arc or through spot-up attempts in the mid-range.
