These independent programs mostly play travel basketball, often times having a schedule comprised entirely of out-of-state teams. The national exposure these young women receive is truly amazing and can play a pivotal role in them getting better, stronger and tougher as they face top teams in their league and around the country. The following players represent some of the best returning 3-point shooters in Prep A and Prep B that will continue to put the Garden State on notice with their offensive firepower:
Anna O’Keefe Anna O’Keefe 5'6" | SG Lawrenceville | 2024 State NJ – Lawrenceville (2024)
65 3-pointers in 22 games; 3 per game
You simply can’t talk about the greatest 3-point shooters in New Jersey without including Anna in the conversation. The MAPL All-League star finished the season with the second-most made 3-point field goals in the state for the 2024 Class. Her quick-release gives her an edge over opponents because it is difficult to read and even more difficult to defend. Her 3-point shooting prowess is awe-inspiring, as she has limitless range and can spot-up from anywhere, sometimes a foot or more behind the arc. This season, Anna showed opponents around the country just how elite she really is, draining eleven 3’s in two contests against a tough Deerfield (MA) squad, three against perennial power Perkiomen (PA) and five against Mercersburg Academy (PA). Once she catches fire, you can’t stop her… you can only hope to contain her!
Kennedy Henry Kennedy Henry 6'1" | CG Blair | 2025 State NJ – Blair (2025)
68 3-pointers in 24 games; 2.8 per game
Kennedy torched nationally ranked opponents all season long with her hot shooting from 3-point territory. The Virginia Tech commit went up against some of the best perimeter defenses in the country and proved why she is one of the nation’s most elite hoopers! FIVE 3’s against national power Putnam Science (CT), FIVE against juggernaut Bishop McNamara (MD), THREE against nationally ranked Paul VI (NJ) and a season high SIX against Mercersburg Academy (PA). With her extraordinary catch-and-shoot game and excellent court awareness, Kennedy never met a defense she couldn’t score on. With 108 made 3’s in her young high school career, Kennedy is on pace to total 200+ before it’s all said and done!
Izzy Augustine Izzy Augustine 5'7" | SG Pennington | 2025 State NJ – Pennington (2025)
50 3-pointers in 24 games; 2.1 per game
Izzy let it fly game after game, frustrating teams with her superb ability to consistently drain shots from deep. A hand in her face… two hands in her face … heck, even three or four hands pressed right on her, Izzy found ways to bury buckets and light it up! She’s one of those players that as soon as the ball leaves her fingertips, you just KNOW it’s good; fantastic footwork to set up her shot, a pretty form and a beautiful follow-through. She was on fire all season long, but it was against Trenton Catholic where she truly proved devastating, hitting TEN 3-pointers in 2 contests, including a season-high SEVEN in their second meeting. She aims for 3-pointer no. 100 early next season!
Zeynep Ozel Zeynep Ozel 5'8" | SG Blair | 2024 State NJ – Blair (2024)
52 3-pointers in 27 games; 1.9 per game
With Zeynep alongside Kennedy, it was quite the arduous task for perimeter defenders to try and prevent the 3’s from falling in bunches. It’s safe to say not many teams succeeded. The MAPL All-League superstar drained 22 3’s against Pennsylvania opponents alone. Her season-high in points (25) and 3’s made (5) came against Mercersburg Academy (PA) on February 12th and Shining Stars Sports Academy (VA) on February 18th. She will look to hit her 100th made 3 (with Blair) early in her senior season. With every game she played, her stock rose exponentially. She is dynamic, elite and an absolute gem.
Addison McNally – Hun (2026)
32 3-pointers in 19 games; 1.7 per game
The freshman came out guns blazing and established herself early on as a long-range sniper. Addison’s ability to get free from defenders and create opportunities to bury shots speaks volumes to the high basketball IQ and elite skill-set she possesses. In a 3-game stretch against Prep foes Pennington, Peddie and Lawrenceville, she was red-hot in draining ten 3-pointers! As her high school career progresses and her game continues to grow and evolve, Addison’s ability to effortlessly score from deep will be nightmare fuel for opponents far and wide.
