Continue ReadingThis is a continuation of an article I previously wrote about players who were close to reaching the 1000 point mark and who I think would surpass that mark next season. However, we barely skimmed the surface of how many future 1000 point scorers there will be in New Jersey. Let’s talk about more milestone players below.
Lia Manuel Lia Manuel 5'7" | PG Mendham | 2024 State NJ – Mendham (2024)
Manuel checks off several boxes on the future milestone counter for us as she finished her junior season with a flourish for Mendham, averaging 18.7 PPG in 26 games and knocking down 33 three-pointers. As of now, she has 75 career three-pointers and 946 career points and set career-highs in both assists per game (4.3 APG) and steals per game (3.7 SPG) last season.
Samantha Cicerone Samantha Cicerone SF Hanover Park | 2024 State NJ – Hanover Park (2024)
One of the more underrated forwards in North Jersey, Cicerone is coming off a near double-double average as a junior and career-high in scoring, nearly 13.0 PPG for the Hornets. That catapulted her into a conversation for reaching the 1000 point plateau next season as she sits with 724 career points through her junior year. With continued success coming off last season, that milestone should be well within grasp.
Greta Servitto Greta Servitto 5'10" | SF St. Elizabeth | 2024 State NJ – St. Elizabeth (2024)
It’s not surprising that the 2024s are dominating the list, and Servitto is another player who should be able to hit 1K after what she was able to do as a junior for St. Elizabeth. Averaging 14.8 PPG and 9.6 RPG, she was a consistent presence down low and her confidence playing the position for the past few years played dividends toward her current level of success.
Allison Cannon Allison Cannon 5'10" | PG Holmdel | 2024 State NJ – Holmdel (2024)
Cannon broke out her junior year, having the success that many had been anticipating from her for a bit now. She averaged a shade under 15.0 PPG for the Hornets as well as 4.2 APG and 3.9 SPG in 28 games, shattering previous career-highs of hers. Cannon can score, she can facilitate and she can create, the perfect combo for success as she sits with 689 career points.
Allie Shenloogian Allie Shenloogian 5'7" | CG Park Ridge | 2025 State NJ – Park Ridge (2025)
Shenloogian reaching the mark is beyond a safe bet for Park Ridge, sitting just 10 points away from the milestone after an incredible sophomore season, averaging 21.1 PPG and nearly 4.0 SPG in 31 games. With seventeen 20-point games and four 30-point games on the year, she was one of the most prolific scorers in the state and will continue down that path next season.
Emma Thornton Emma Thornton 5'11" | C Barnegat | 2025 State NJ – Barnegat (2025)
An elite-level forward in New Jersey without a doubt, Thornton recorded a double-double average for the second-straight year and did so emphatically, with nearly 18.0 PPG and 14.8 RPG in 26 games. With 742 career points and 617 career rebounds, she could potentially join the 1000/1000 club with another stellar season as a junior.
Reese Fiore Reese Fiore 5'6" | PG Shore | 2025 State NJ – Shore Regional (2025)
We close out this taking about another 2025 prospect in Reese Fiore Reese Fiore 5'6" | PG Shore | 2025 State NJ , who will carry the torch at Shore as Rylee Drahos Rylee Drahos 5'7" | CG Shore | 2023 State NJ graduates at the end of the academic year. That leaves Fiore to run wild on the floor and go crazy for the Blue Devils, having already had a career year as a sophomore with 13.5 PPG. She’s currently at 606 career points, needing a big junior year to reach 1K, and is just 22 threes away from 100 in her career.
