Below are my standout posts of the day.
Monica Sierzputowski
Monica Sierzputowski
Monica was easily one of the best posts in the gym today. She’s a classic post who knows what to do when she gets the ball inside. Simple back downs, and easy finishes. She has strong hands, and a high sense of her surroundings when she’s operating in the paint. I can see Monica bringing in some attention over the summer.
Morgan Feil
Morgan Feil
Morgan’s versatility is noticed immediately. She can play the 3-5 and still be just as impactful in each position. She knows how to use her body to get to the line, and when she does she knocks ‘em down. She can stretch the floor or finish around the rim. A stretch post who can be plugged into any system and find a way to contribute.
One of the most versatile bigs in the building today, Oller was a consistent paint presence in each game. She showed her footwork on the block, her ability to make plays from the post, and the motor to get up and down even after battling down low. She plays with a mix of brute strength and finesse.. an adaptable type of skill set.
Highlights
It seems as if her natural position is a wing, but today she was plugged into the post spot on most possessions. Cartee’s length matched with her intelligence around the rim makes her a true threat in the low post position, and that’s on the defensive side as well. She can put the ball on the ground if needed, and can stretch the floor all the way to and beyond the arc. A high caliber prospect.
Highlights
Your classic post who has definitely progressed each time I’ve seen her. Her footwork in the post is getting sharper, she’s using her strength more on the block and her touch around the rim is becoming smooth as well. She’s mobile with great vision and can defensively be just as impactful. A solid post to keep an eye on during circuit season.
