Continue ReadingHill may not catch your eye walking off the bus, but she’s a heady guard with a knack for scoring. She’s a threat from all three levels, stretching the floor with her three-point shot but also craftily finding her way to the rim, drawing fouls in the process. Kalise could be an option for D-III/D-II programs and should continue to raise her stock.
I really like how well Morgan is able to slash her way to the basket. She’s got a good first step and knows how to evade defenders downhill. Nia finishes with both hands and is an active defender. She’s putting up 12.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2 steals per game.
Kennerly doesn’t have one elite skill per say, but she is well-rounded and productive. Averaging 13 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game, Hadiya finds ways to contribute across the box score. Her three-point shot has developed into a weapon, nailing 35%.
Hawes has stepped up big time as a junior, upping her averages to 16.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. She’s a quality shooter, but it’s her aggressiveness that really puts Hawes over the top. Her nose for the ball and energy are staples of her game.
I love how hard Davis plays inside. Standing about 5-foot-9, she’s a physically strong presence down low, a real enforcer that embraces the dirty work. She’s a sturdy defender and a competitive rebounder that blocks out. Tayelor is an effective defender that walls up without fouling. Offensively, Davis can bury opponents under the rim with her hard seals and post finishes.
