Who are the juniors that made some noise this season? Let’s take a look at some of the most talented rising seniors around the state who have demonstrated their star potential.
Prince-Baquero is a player to keep an eye on. She has range from beyond the arc and the pull-up game to get a bucket in transition. She’s quick and aggressive on the defensive end and puts in the work to create extra opportunities for her teammates. Her court vision and ball-handling skills set her apart, and she’s an asset to Providence Country Day.
DeCesare is a versatile shooting guard with the ability to get her shot on the court. She shines on the defensive end and disrupts opponents’ schemes and movements. DeCesare also isn’t afraid to drive in the paint and get her points in the lane. She’s a special player who has a lot to give to her Ponaganset squad.
Estrella D’Ambra
Estrella D’Ambra
D’Ambra is an underrated shooter with a nice long-range game. Her defensive prowess and instincts make her a solid two-way player. Look for D’Ambra to be a consistent contributor for East Providence next season.
Jiminez is a tall, athletic forward with the ability to rack up points in a hurry. In many of Cranston East’s matchups this season, she was a leading scorer and key contributor. Her scoring was way up during her junior season, and her ceiling is yet higher for her senior season.
Grace Martone
Grace Martone
Although Grace Martone went down with an injury to end the season, her contributions during the regular season made a statement. The leading scorer for La Salle, Martone is a proven and consistent scorer. As Martone returns from injury, expect her to pick up where she left off as a senior.
