With the 2022-2023 IHSAA girls’ basketball season in the rearview mirror, and with the all-state awards for each classification having been handed out, I wanted to finish highlighting several ladies from different areas of the state. Below is a look at a handful of ladies who stood out during the 2022-2023 season in South Central Indiana.

– Reagan has had a very productive four-year career, and each year she has expanded her game just a little more. She has good size and strength, really nice length, and she’s a solid all-around athlete. While she has made perimeter jumpers each year, this year she was as good as it gets from the outside. Her ability to play inside-out makes her difficult to defend. She will play at Hanover College next year.

– Saige really turned the corner last year, so to speak, and her final two years of high school were outstanding. She has great length, wiry strength, and she moves well in most directions. She is a great pursuing rebounder, plus she has some skill in the mid-post and around the perimeter. Her 26.0 ppg this Winter was second in the state, and she should fit in well at Indiana State University next season.
Lauren Foster

Indian Creek | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-7 G, Indian Creek H.S.
– Lauren is one of the more underappreciated prospects in the state’s 2024 class. She plays with an outstanding motor, she is very skillful, and she always produces. She will do all of the grunt work like taking charges, diving on the floor for loose balls, and defending the other team’s best player. At the same time, she averaged 18.6 ppg this Winter while shooting 49% (43-88) from 3-point range.
Annie Sichting, 2024, 5-3 G, Tabernacle Christian School
– While I realize Tabernacle Christian is not an IHSAA school, what Annie did this Winter was impressive. As a Sophomore, she averaged 17.3 ppg, but this season she nearly doubled that, averaging 31.3 ppg. She also rebounds very well at her size (4.3 rpg), and she created havoc defensively with her 6.1 spg. Additionally, she managed to make 90 3-pointers in 23 games during the 2022-2023 season.
Kenli Sullivan

Bloomington North | 2025
IN
, 2025, 5-11 F, Bloomington H.S. North
– Kenli moved into Bloomington North this year from Eastern Greene, and she immediately added firepower to their offense. She has really nice length, wiry strength, and fluid athleticism, plus she can play in the mid-post or around the perimeter. Kenli averaged 9.3 ppg and 7.5 rpg in her first season as a Lady Cougar, and a full offseason of work should help her fit into the program and be more consistent next year.
Macey Crider

Edgewood | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-10 F, Edgewood H.S.
– Macey got her career off to a nice start, averaging 7.7 ppg and 5.7 rpg for the Lady Mustangs. She did most of her work around the paint, but she occasionally stepped outside and knocked down a perimeter jumper. Macey scored a season-high of 18 points in their first round Sectional game, and she secured 11 rebounds on two different occasions this Winter. She should be very impactful moving forward.
Violet Hall

Bloomington South | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 6-0 F, Bloomington H.S. South
– Violet is a long, wiry, and tall forward who moves around the floor somewhat effortlessly. She has a little touch around the mid-post, but she is very crafty with the ball and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. She has learned how to use angles defensively, but she also uses her quick feet to cut off penetration from opponents. She will still need to get stronger, but she showed a lot of promise as a rookie.
