Tristen Golden Tristen Golden 5'7" | CG Clear Creek | 2027 State TX -League City Sharks
Golden went PLATINUM as she continues to take her game to another level. Let me start with the fact that she’s heady and understands how to control the tempo, run a team, as well as take games over. She dropped 40 in one game, yet it’s the way she did it. Her pull-up jumper in the set as well as in transition is nice, she also can take the defender off the dribble and score, her body control is nice and she finishes after contact. She also has good court vision and applies defensive pressure which includes playing the passing lane
Alyssa Harms-League City Sharks
Harms has shown progression from last season and I really got a kick out of her showing the pull-up jumper in transition, I also call that the “stop and pop” but when she did it in the set, and dropped it with a hand in her face, I just SMH. She’s long and athletic, and that will always be the base and does a good job attacking the basket, her first step is deceptive and sets everything up, but she also saw the floor both in the set as well as off the dribble
A’Niyah Harmon- Power
Harmon is the second Harmon I’ve called a #D1Lock in elementary school, Rori Harmon was in the 5th grade when I dropped it on her and now she’s running the show for Texas. A’Niyah is also “running the show” in so many ways as she showed me a variety of ways she can put the ball in the basket. Her acrobatic finishes were nice, and her pull-up jumper created some problems but she uses her athleticism on both ends as her smothering defense and playing the passing lane were more than solid
Marvinisha Norman- Power
Norman has been under my radar for years and when I first saw her playing up with her dad’s older team, I knew she was on the verge of breaking out. She’s strong, attacks the basket strongly, yet is under control, nice body control, and watching her finish with players literally hanging on her back speaks volumes about her strength. Her on-the-ball defense was solid, she also rebounded on both ends of the court. This is what I said about her and Harmon a couple of years ago and one more time #ThereIsNoMe
Ty’Asia Young- Houston Lady Nets [2028]
Young keeps showing me different things and watching her mannerisms and how she reacts in certain situations is always a dead giveaway for me when observing younger players playing up. To seal the trifecta, the way she does things INSTINCTIVELY, remember I’m a REAL EVALUATOR, not a novice or wannabe, her future is bright. The jumper is smooth, she blows by defenders to score off the dribble and she applies heat defensively
Samara Lara- Level Up 8th Grade
Lara has good upside because she understands the simple things that will be HUGE down the road. She’s constantly moving and being active around the basket is always a good sign but she also did a good job attacking the basket using a deceptive first step. She applied pressure on the defensive end, and she played the passing lane
