Continue ReadingSunday was no different as the energy level not only started high but stayed that way. This is always good for me because it allows me to catch more players and more players on multiple articles will be coming including the All-Tournament team which will be up next, but first, Top Performers from Day 2, here’s the link to Day 1
Jaslynn Marsh
Jaslynn Marsh
Marsh is heady and one of the things that truly impressed me is “she recognizes the mismatch” to go along with being vocal and that is #THRO WBA CK. She also scores off the dribble, her body control is nice and she finishes strongly. She also handles the ball under pressure and her court vision in the set as well as the open court was solid plus she can drop the long ball as well as the midrange. Her on the ball defense was also nice
Neso Anisiobi
Neso Anisiobi
Anisiobi will be added to the Top 100 on my next update and with that being said, she’s one of the most underrated players in Texas. She gets #THRO WBA CK because of her DESIRE and when you go after everything relentlessly, that’s special. She falls into that “you won’t outwork me” category, she finishes strongly around the basket yet she also scores off the dribble as well as the midrange. Her interior defense is good, yet she can apply heat baseline to baseline “on the ball” as well

Lauren Stephens Lauren Stephens 6'0" | PF Tahlequah | 2026 State OK
Stephens has been on a tear to open up the PGH Circuit yet she ripped everything apart on Sunday. She understands the game and uses her athleticism on both ends and let me start with her intensity on defense. The heat she brings is smothering and helps create turnovers yet she also hits the boards and outrebounds taller players. She can drop the midrange with the pull-up, score off the dribble yet her putbacks after contact were very nice
Pohl is “long and athletic” which will always be the base that I start with as well as many college coaches and they offer next level opportunities. Her intangibles start with her “timing” to block, alter and (or) deflect shots. She rebounded on both ends of the court and ran the floor on both ends but her defense inside the paint also stood out, her lateral movement is nice. She scored using nice body control as well as on putbacks, after contact
Arkya Dixon
Arkya Dixon
Dixon was another athletic guard that uses her athleticism on both ends and her “on the ball” pressure was consistent in every game I caught her playing. She’s strong and has a powerful first step to attack the basket and she finishes strongly after the lick, her body control plays a part in that as well. She also showed she could create her shot and handle the ball in the open court and did a good job seeing the floor
Lily Cunningham Lily Cunningham 5'9" | SG Throckmorton | 2024 TX
Lily Cunningham Lily Cunningham 5'9" | SG Throckmorton | 2024 TX
Cunningham plays for an organization I have been watching for years and I can always count on finding talent I may not have seen or seen enough of. Her ability to score however she wants brightened my day because she understands how to set the defender up to not only create her shot but drop it with a hand in her face, mid to long-range. She also does a good job attacking off the dribble as well as seeing the floor in the set
Mikaela Curtis
Mikaela Curtis
Curtis doesn’t have any notes by her name, there’s no need because it’s still embedded in my mind on what she did yesterday. She scored off the dribble numerous times yet her stop and pop jumper, sometimes off balance, was very nice but just as nice was her splitting the defender and seeing the floor giving teammates solid looks to score. She played the passing lane and did a good job defending in the set as well as baseline to baseline
Hall is “long and athletic” so we know that’s the base yet the Pittsburg star from Kansas showed me a lot with her MO Legacy 2024 squad. Her pull-up was nice, she elevates on her jumper yet she also scored off the dribble and finished. She also hit the boards and handled the ball afterward, well she handled the ball after playing the passing lane as well plus her defense was solid
Highlights
Aniyah Davis
Aniyah Davis
Davis was another “long and athletic” player that stood out on Sunday and watching her not only rebound on both ends of the court but to go coast to coast after the defensive board was nice. She also scored off the dribble in the set using a deceptive first step and her finishing after contact was consistent. She also showed she could defend inside and outside the paint
Pawpa not only handled the ball under pressure, she saw the floor under pressure and it didn’t matter if it was in the set or open court, she hit teammates with crisp “on the money” passes. She created her shot, yep under pressure and showed she could drop the jumper as well as attack with either hand off the dribble and finish. Her defense was strong and she played the passing lane
Highlights
Taylor Blehm
Taylor Blehm
Blehm understands how to use her body inside the paint, on both ends of the court. She rebounded with good positioning and blocking/boxing out players on both ends. She scored on putbacks as well as off the dribble from outside the paint, this includes after contact. She also showed she could create her shot and drop the mid to long-range jumper but her interior defense was also solid
Saniyah Morrison Saniyah Morrison 5'3" | PG Tulsa Rogers | 2025 OK
Saniyah Morrison Saniyah Morrison 5'3" | PG Tulsa Rogers | 2025 OK
Morrison gets the #THRO WBA CK hashtag for the things she did at her height. She dropped a turnaround jumper over a much taller player in the paint with ease so that speaks volumes about her getting off the ground. She has a nice first step to attack the basket and she finished after contact but her playing the passing lane and handling as well as seeing the floor also stood out. Her knack for being around the ball to rebound or go after loose balls had me smiling
Kiersten Thomas
Kiersten Thomas
Thomas falls into another category I hashtag, #sizedontmatter because she can play. She was another guard that used her athleticism on both ends, she applied heat defensively and came away with steals but her seeing the floor in the open court afterward was nice, she also saw it in the set. She created her shot while being defended and dropped the mid to long range and she attacked the basket off the dribble
Sakuri Wilson
Sakuri Wilson
Wilson also falls into that #sizedontamatter group and she plays taller than her height. She’s a “long and athletic” guard, that also works, and showed she could blow by defenders using an explosive first step, both in the set as well as in transition. Her court vision was nice, so was her jumper but her “on the ball” defense as well as “playing the passing lane” helped force turnovers
