We have some new kids that emerged and put us on notice that they were worthy of being in this rankings edition, here are the list and evaluations of these kids, we appreciate your support by subscribing and reading our evaluations on these kids.
Anyse is a versatile player that we got to see this season for her high school, she uses her size well and she is capable of scoring in a variety of ways on the court. She is playing in the post at her size, but when she steps up to the next level she will be a forward. She has great hands and she does what is needed in the paint to get her team wins, we were impressed with her play in the Playoffs this season.
Highlights
Ariah caught my attention in the CIF State Finals and boy did she catch my attention with her phenomenal performance in this final game. She put her team on her back and made play after play to secure the win for her team. She ended the game with 22 points, 15 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and 2 blocks
Maja is a monster on the board and she showed us that with a great performance in the game, she ended the game with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. She ate the boards up in this game, she was a terror for her opponents and she did with skill, she had 5 offensive boards to go with her 6 defensive, we loved her tenacity on the floor and showed us she can score as well.
One of our writers, Dave Yapkowitz had this to say about Rosado – Rosado was a solid wing who showed off a consistent ability to attack off the dribble. Slashes well to the rim and she can finish strong through contact. She hit defenders with a little Euro-step a couple of times and she was also able to draw contact and get herself to the free-throw line. She kept her team in one game I saw with her drives to the rim. She can pass well off the dribble too. She has good length and fights hard on the glass. Sets good screens for a wing.
One of our writers, Dave Yapkowitz had this to say about Hailey Estrada Hailey Estrada 5’6″ | SG Los Osos | 2023 State CA – Hailey is a solid point guard who is comfortable controlling the tempo of the game. She runs the offense well and is a pass first player. Dribbles under control in the halfcourt and does well against defensive pressure. She’s able to break down the defense and get into the lane where she can kick the ball out to open teammates. Takes advantage of scoring opportunities too. She can hit the little floater/runner in the lane and can shoot it too. Had a game-winner in the midrange in the game I saw.
Maycee is a top performer in the State Finals this year, that is where we got our first look at her on the court for her team. She dominated in the game for her team and put up some good numbers to help seal the win for her and her teammates. She ended the game with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 assist and 1 block.
One of our writers, Dave Yapkowitz had this to say about Hunter Hudson Hunter Hudson 6’0″ | PF Chaminade | 2023 State CA – Hudson is a wing scorer comfortable with the ball in her hands. She runs the floor well, handles the ball in transition and does a good job pushing the pace. Solid midrange jumper off the dribble. She can attack the basket and she’s able to shoot the floater in the lane. Good interior defender contesting shots at the rim. One of the things that stood though is her rebounding. She uses her length well to get inside the paint and grab boards. Hits the offensive glass well.
One of our writers, Dave Yapkowitz had this to say about Grider – A Masters University commit, Grider is often tasked with being the primary ball-handler. She can handle the ball in transition and in the halfcourt and is kind of in the mold of a big/tall guard. She has a good shot especially from three-point range and she does well in catch and shoot situations. She keeps her head up on the break, looks to push the tempo and can find the open teammate. She knows how to move off-ball as well and does a good job relocating after the pass.
Erin scored 14 points, 4 steals and 1 assist in this game, she was a dynamic scoring guard that gave the team some good ball handling, some playmaking skills and was able to break down the defenses and get some lane penetration to help her team get easy scores. She was quick, she ran the offense like the coach wanted her to and she limited her turnovers on the court like a good lead guard should do. This kid is senior and some college will get a good player here, we cannot say what level, but she is very worthy at playing at the next level for sure.
McKinley had a great performance in this game as well, she scored a game high of 21 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks and 3 steals. This is a big game performance for her and she did all she could to keep her team in the game. She was 4 blocks shy of a triple-double which is a great feat, but she did everything necessary and put her team on her back to try and get the win. This kid has great size, uses her body well, she is beast inthe paint and she is a shot blocker supreme, six block shots in a game is a great accomplishment, you have to have some great timing to block that many shots.
Tiana is the shooter for her team, she was (2-4) in the game, shooting 40% or higher in high school is very consistent, I would say that she missed the other two cause of defenders coming at her, if she gets a good look and her feet set, it is nothing but net. she tallied 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in this game.
