Shay Ijiwoye Shay Ijiwoye 5'6" | PG Desert Vista | 2024 State AZ (Desert Vista/Jason Kidd Select): Ranked as the 45th overall prospect in the nation, Shay Ijiwoye Shay Ijiwoye 5'6" | PG Desert Vista | 2024 State AZ is as good as they come at the point guard position. Ijiwoye can take over a game at any given point, but in more ways than just scoring. Ijiwoye has great court vision and is able to break her defender down and find open teammates for easy buckets. Defensively, she is as good as they come as she is so quick laterally and can stay in front of the shiftiest guards in the nation. Ijiwoye is playing AAU this year for Jason Kidd Select which is one of the best programs in the entire country. She currently holds scholarship offers from numerous power-5 teams in the nation including: Stanford, Michigan, Oklahoma, TCU, Providence, Mississippi State, Cal Berkeley, Vanderbilt and countless others.
Elli Guiney Elli Guiney 5'9" | CG Millennium | 2024 State AZ (Millennium / AZ Elite): Guiney is one of the most skilled basketball players in the state or Arizona. She can score at will from all 3 levels, pass the ball efficiently, rebound at a high level and defend some of the best players in the nation. Guiney averaged 16pts, 6rbs and 3asts this past season on a very talented Millennium team. Guiney plays AAU on arguably the best 17u team in Arizona in Arizona Elite-Black. Guiney holds Division-1 offers from NAU, Princeton, Navy, Southern Utah, UNLV, Idaho, Eastern Michigan and UCSD.
Sarah Nakamura Miller Sarah Nakamura Miller 5'11" | SG Xavier College Prep | 2024 State AZ (Xavier Prep/ SA Swish): Miller is coming off a knee injury that sidelined her from the 22/23 basketball season. During the 21/22 season Miller averaged north of 20 points a game as a sophomore. Miller is an electric scorer that is a lethal shooter from deep. This spring she will return to the basketball court playing on the EYBL for SA Swish. Miller currently holds a division-one offer from the University of Nevada.
Emma Dasovich Emma Dasovich 6'1" | PF Valley Vista | 2024 State AZ (Valley Vista/ West Coast Elite): Dasovich is a 6’0 prospect on the rise in the class of 2024. She played on a very talented Valley Vista squad this past winter averaging 11pts/6rbs a game. Dasovich is playing AAU this spring for one of the best programs in the nation in West Coast Elite. I anticipate Dasovich’s stock to rise and her game to continue to develop.
Dominique Nesland Dominique Nesland 5'10" | PG Xavier College Prep | 2024 State AZ (Xavier Prep/ Cal Stars): Nesland is one of the more complete offensive guards in the class of 2024. She is a lights-out 3 point shooter capable of shooting from anywhere inside of half court. Off the dribble, Nesland plays under control and is really good at playing through contact around the rim. Offensively, Nesland is as good as they come in the state of Arizona. Nesland plays AAU for another top AAU program in the country in Cal Stars. Nesland currently holds division one offers from: University of Louisiana-Monroe, Air Force, Southern Utah, Cal Baptist, and Army.
Eanae Dagons Eanae Dagons 5'3" | PG Desert Vista | 2024 State AZ (Desert Vista/ AZ Elite Black): Dagons might be the most underrated prospect in the state of Arizona. On a Desert Vista team filled with division-one talent, Dagons only averaged 12pts, 2stls and 2rbs a game this year. But let me be the first to tell you that Dagons is one of the most electric players in the entire nation. She is so quick which makes her one of the best full court defenders in the entire nation. Offensively, she can shoot it from deep as well as blow past her opponents for easy layups at the rim. Dagons reminds me of New York Liberty guard Didi Richards with the way she defends. Dagons plays AAU for AZ Elite Black and I anticipate her recruiting to really pick up this spring as she is a division-one talent with a ton of upside.
Jocelyn Michelle Chavez Jocelyn Michelle Chavez 5'9" | SG Valley Vista | 2024 State AZ (Valley Vista/ SW Premier): Chavez is one of the shiftier guards in the class of 2024. This past season she averaged 9 pts/4rbs a game for Valley Vista. Chavez is really good at breaking her opponent down off the dribble and finishing through contact in the lane. Chavez also shoots the 3-ball really well. Chavez will play AAU for SW Premier this AAU season.
Madison Pond Madison Pond 5'10" | SF Estrella Foothills | 2024 State AZ (Estrella Foothills/ SW Premier): Pond is a skilled and lengthy wing prospect in the class of 2024. She is able to defend any position with her length and wingspan. Pond is also really good at crashing the boards. Offensively, she is an efficient scorer and is always looking to make the right play. This past season Pond averaged 13pts, 6rbs and 3stls a game. Pond has a ton of length and upside with her continued improvement. This AAU season she will be playing for SW Premier.
