Some will play freshman ball while others may get a shot at the varsity level. Let’s take a look at some of the best performances from the 14U division.
Khloee Garner | Guard | AR Thunder
Khloee is an aggressive wing player that likes to attack off the dribble. She was able to show off her nice handle by getting by the defense with her double crossover move. Once in the lane Khloee can finish around or over the help defense. She scores in transition, shoots the three, and anticipates on defense.
Evvi Cooper | Point Guard | Trailblazers
Evvi was one of the most skilled point guards I saw over the weekend. She could handle the ball well and did a good job of combining change of direction with a change of pace to get by her defender. A high IQ point guard that makes good decisions with the ball. Sees the floor well when attacking and can deliver on target passes off the dribble to her open teammates. Evvi was a threat from the three-point line when she spotted up.
Cincere Woods | Forward | Arkansas Blaze
Cincere was a strong, physical player that could hold it down in the paint, operate out of the high post, and function on the perimeter. Only a 7th grader, she played up and held her own against the competition. An aggressive rebounder that could secure the missed shot and push the ball in transition for the finish. She’s tough to defend when she gets her shoulders downhill towards the rim. Good upside for this young hooper.
Amiyah Wilborn | Forward | Kweens Elite
A physical player that’s not afraid of contact. Plays tough on defense and attacks the glass hard looking to secure the rebound. Amiyah plays through contact and can finish at the rim by using her body. She’s a nice player to watch as she continues to develop.
Morgan Thornton | Guard | Arkansas Lady Rebels
Morgan is one of the players with the most upside in the 14U division. She stands around 5’10 and has good length and size to play either of the guard positions. Her length allows her to defend multiple positions and gives her an advantage of being able to get her shot off against smaller defenders. She also rebounds the ball well and can finish at the rim.
