The event features a few drills followed by a showcase game. Some of the top unsigned seniors in the Southern California region participated. I was able to attend the event and here’s my top five standouts who in my opinion, are capable of playing basketball at the next level.

Salazar has always stood out as a very good combo guard. She can play on ball as the primary ball-handler running the offense and can move off ball and look more for her shot. No wasted dribbling in the halfcourt, she consistently attacks the defense off the dribble and gets to the basket. Reads the defense and can find the open teammate. Can shoot the ball. Good on ball defense forcing turnovers.
2.

Hudson is able to play on ball or off ball as a scoring forward. She can attack off the dribble and get to the basket and she is able to pass off her drives. She’s a finisher at the basket. She’s active in the paint moving without the ball, making cuts and making herself available for the pass. Good hands. She can be a force on the glass. Comfortable creating her own shot in the midrange.
3. Mydrea Moore – Leuzinger
Moore is a scoring forward with good size and is comfortable with the ball in her hands. Good ball-handler for her size. Able to consistently put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. Good finisher through traffic and has a nice touch around the rim. She’s active defensively at the basket. She’s also able to space the floor with her jumper with range out to the three-point line.
