Monday, the 17U all-tournament team.
Jocelyn Norman, 5-8 Team Blackout
Got to see her near the end of the day on Sunday, and was impressed with her game. She can explode to the rim and finish strong with contact. She can run through the defender at the rim. Strong physical kid. Nice handles and a physical defender able to create mistakes.
Jahliya Robinson, 5-3 Lady Legit 2024
Super quick defender with excellent and quick hands. Forces mistakes, and deflections leading to offensive chances for her team. Excellent on ball defender, can pressure her opponent into mistakes. Solid guard who can score, has a good first step and capable to leading her team.
Mariam Alowonle, 6-2 FBC North Black
Strong physical kid who can dominate in the post, but also runs the floor and can beat you in multiple ways. Soft touch around the rim. Defensively, she handles her business around the rim. Moves well and is able to defend multiple positions.
Kiana Hilliard, 5-7 NOCO Triple Threat 2024
Excellent handles and pushes in transition well. Strong physical kid who can finish at the rim. It is not afraid of contact. Good foot work and good moves in the paint. Isn’t afraid of shooting from the perimeter or in the paint.
Lexie Ransom, 5-6 NOCO Triple Threat 2024
Great pull up jumper from deep range. Another great shooter after the pass, she can drop them from deep. She’s more than just a shooter, good handles, and a solid defender. Very smart basketball IQ. Part of a very talented backcourt. Plays under control and poised.
