Travel basketball season brings a lot of good opportunities for players to perform in front of different audiences to show off their talent, and they get to travel with their teammates creating lasting memories on these trips. While many players go from playing high school basketball where the age typically ranges about 4-5 years to playing only with their age group, some players choose to play with an older age group to prove they can compete on any level. Let’s take a look at some of the North Carolina players that were playing up with their organizations competing against older age groups.
Addison Sisk
Addison Sisk
Addison Sisk did a nice job finding her open post players on the block adjusting to make the best entry pass. She battled through contact scoring off her own power dribbles on the block. She was doing a little bit of everything for her team including getting inside for rebounds against anyone on the block.
Gabby Bryant Gabby Bryant 5’7″ | CG Hickory | 2025 NC was a nuisance as an on ball defender stripping it away from her opponents and scoring on the other end with the steal. She is speedy handling the ball pushing the tempo and finding her teammates up the court or taking it all the way herself. She has a very high motor that will certainly help with her team’s success this season.
Highlights
Kennedy Blevins Kennedy Blevins 5’6″ | SG St. Stephens | 2025 NC had a nice play getting the offensive rebound and using an up and under move to draw contact and finish at the free throw line. She had a strong take to the basket getting the ball in the paint and driving to the hoop. She showed off her stroke from deep, too.
Karlee Starnes
Karlee Starnes
Karlee Starnes got the scoring action started for her team knocking down her shot from the top of the key. She did a nice job getting back on defense drawing a charge on a fast break and gaining the possession again for her team. When her opponents started a run in the second half, she took over attacking the basket and putting up a nice floater in the paint.
Tia Bryant Tia Bryant 6’0″ | SF NC GBB | 2026 State NC had a nice shot fake and drive baseline to the hoop. She stripped the ball from her teammates and made a nice pass up the court to start a fast break. She made some nice cuts to the hoop putting up floaters on the baseline. She already has great size, and she’s a scoring threat on all three levels which is why she is so competitive against any age group.
