That being said, I’d like to use today to write about 5 deserving prospects that I’ve either never had the opportunity to cover or haven’t covered much.
Ajami is a very nice player that utilizes her strength under and near the rim. She establishes position and snags rebounds with strong hands. Ajami is a double-double threat that can play with her back to the basket and finish off a spin move to the left. She does a nice job getting the ball to her guards off a rebound.
Axtell is a skilled perimeter player that could very easily rise up the rankings. She’s a multi level scorer with a solid jumper that she can hit even with a hand in her face. Axtell is creative off the bounce and can finish with both hands and on either side of the rim. She’s a 2 way player that’s shown a knack for playing the passing lanes and turning defense into offense.
Highlights
Robinson is a threat from multiple spots on the floor, giving herself some valuable versatility. She works really well off the left block where she has a feel for the ball off the rim and does a good job positioning herself for a board. Robinson can also step out beyond the arc and bury a triple.
Kelderman will be a player to keep an eye on this spring and summer as she takes the floor for MBA Robinson. Let’s start with the fact that Kelderman can shoot, and in my opinion, is probably a little underrated in that aspect of her game. Defensively, she’s an energy player that brings a little jolt to the floor.
Walsh is a talented basketball player that certainly deserves more press. She can attack the rim going with either hand and can finish with both hands as well. Walsh has nice momentum and balance on her jumper and has 3 point range on her shot. She works really well out of the mid range and has a really pretty floater with a lot of touch on it.
