The event was held Saturday and Sunday and featured some of the top talent in Southern California. I was able to attend the event on Saturday and here’s a look at some of the top point guards I saw.
1. Delaney White – Oak Park 2026
White is in the mold of a big, strong point guard who gets to her spots on the court. She has strong ball-handling skills and can dribble under control against defensive pressure. Does a good job attacking middle; can kick the ball back out to open teammates off her drives. Pushes the pace well in transition, keeps her head up and makes the right pass on the break. Good shooter off the dribble. Good rebounding guard.
2. Marianne Boco – Granada Hills Charter 2024
Boco is a good combo guard capable of playing both the one and the two. She can be the primary ball-handler and run the offense or she can play alongside another ball-handler and move off ball. Good ball-handler who keeps the ball moving in the halfcourt. Can hit the pullup jumper in the halfcourt as well. Able to attack the basket and draw fouls. Nice crossover to get into the lane.
3. Kylah Baker – Sonora 2025
Baker is a quick little point guard. Can break a defensive press and does well against defensive pressure. Does a good job getting downhill and attacking; able to draw contact at the basket and get to the free-throw line consistently. Always looking to push the pace in transition. Very decisive with the ball in her hands, makes quick moves to keep the defense guessing. Defensively, solid on ball and fights through screens well.

– LaSalle 2024
Chen is a very unselfish, pass first point guard. She takes her scoring opportunities as they come but she is always looking to make the right/extra pass. She controls the pace in the halfcourt. Keeps the ball moving and knows when to put her down and attack the paint. Very good ball-handler who is always under control and able to get to where she wants to on the court. Has a nice shot from three-point range.
