However, I now have the time to go through everybody who impressed me over the past few days at the Wisconsin Center, and I’ll keep talking about kids until I run out of kids to talk about, which will take a while.
Addison Baumgart Addison Baumgart 6'0" | PF Kaukauna | 2025 State WI
The Kaukauna product had an excellent weekend. She’s a talented four who can play inside and out and found ways to score everywhere on the floor. She was one of the best players of the weekend and was consistent from start to finish. Every chance she got to shoot from the perimeter, she seemed to make and scores from the elbow every time she flashed from the baseline.
Megan Geason Megan Geason 5'11" | SF Oak Creek | 2025 State WI
There aren’t many kids who get to the rim as well as the Oak Creek native. She’s an excellent athlete who attacks the rim more aggressively than any other kid in the state. Her ability to finish when flying towards the basket at 100 miles per hour is second to none. I was also impressed with how well she shot the ball today. If her jumper continues to improve, we could be looking at a standout prospect.
EllaMay Cooper
I love how well Cooper deals with pressure and finds ways out of it. The eighth grader has always been one of the most press-resistant kids I’ve ever seen. There have been uber-talented kids and teams who’ve given up pressing her Team Wisconsin Magic team because she’s that creative in a pinch. She closed out the first half by sneaking out of a double team and banking in a one-legged three-pointer to cut the deficit to single digits. She has plenty of room to grow, and she’s only getting better.
Alyssa Wirth Alyssa Wirth 6'5" | C Altoona | 2024 State WI
The Altoona product decommitted from Minnesota recently and showed off the improvements in her game over the past year. She’s significantly more comfortable with her back to the basket and dominated with her back to the basket. She seemed to demand the ball when she earned position on the block and wasn’t afraid of going through kids to get to the rim. Another thing that surprised me was how well she stayed in front of tall wings on the perimeter. She defended a 2023 that will be playing at Marquette next year well and kept her front of her.
