Don’t get me wrong, this class is very special and talented, yet some girls this past year blossomed onto the scene making a name for themselves while helping their club reach new heights. It’s awesome to see new girls come about, bringing parity to the districts, and making the game even more fun to watch.
Each of the young ladies we will mention bring something different to the table. Their skill sets set them apart from one another, yet they still ball out with the same goal in mind. To win. To be the best. These young ladies have taken advantage of the minutes they earned and have gone into full beast mode competing every chance they’ve gotten. The class of ‘25 additions are solid young ladies both on the floor and in the classroom. Take a look at these young ladies and make sure to follow their career as they continue to climb up the charts.
Here is a snapshot of a few new additions to the PGH Tennessee class of 2025 rankings.
Daria Biryk Daria Biryk 5'10" | SG Webb- Bell Buckle | 2025 State TN (5’10/SG/ Webb Bell-Buckle)– From the Ukraine, this sharpshooting is skyrocketing up the charts. She’s a bucket from all 3 levels of the floor and will be taking the D2 single A division by storm. She can be a spot up shooter, create off the dribble, or get down hill to the rim. Has great size and length, she’s a two way player that creates mismatches on both ends of the floor. Look for her to continue to grow and push the envelope as being one of the best in the state.
Cybil Penland Cybil Penland 5'10" | SG Sevier Co. | 2025 State TN (5’10/SG/ Sevier Co.)– Another sharpshooter who can do it from both inside and outside the arc. Heady player who can take advantage of mismatches from anywhere. Can play multiple positions. Has a high basketball IQ. Rebounds well, great in transition, and can flat out find the bottom of the net. New to the rankings, this girl will continue to climb up the charts the more court time she gets. She will be a prospect folks will want to keep an eye on.
Molly Brown Molly Brown 5'8" | SG Lincoln Co. | 2025 State TN (5’8/SG/ Lincoln Co.)– This hooper has a motor on her. 3 level scoring threat who is a complete dawg when it comes to the game of basketball. She gets after it on both ends of the floor, creating turnovers that lead to transition buckets. Has a nice jumper that compliments her ability to get downhill. Active hands, active feet, she’s a lockdown defender who is willing to lay it all out on the line for her club. An unselfish player who will do anything to help her club win.

(5’7/SG/ Stewart’s Creek)– Had a breakthrough year and is on her way up. She’s a heady player who plays with a chip on her shoulder. Plays with speed and passion, she gets after it on both ends on the floor. Solid from the field, she can shoot it from beyond the arc or get down hill and finish against contact. Uses her speed on D to create turnovers. Has a knack for being around the basketball, she’s on the boards and pushes in transition. Great young player whose game will continue to grow.
Yazmin Pearson (5’10/ C/ Kenwood)– Not your biggest anchor, but one of the most effective ones. She may not be a 6’footer, but gets after it on the boards. She will deter opponents from coming into the paint. Uses her athleticism to gain rebounds to start transition breaks. Nice footwork from the block areas on O, she can finish over either shoulder and also has a nice mid-range game. Great young hooper who has a bright future.
