The event was held from Apr. 21-23 and featured some of the top talent from both Northern and Southern California. I was able to attend the event on Sunday, Apr. 23 and here’s a look at some additional standouts I saw.
1.
Mimi Moon

– Pacifica(OX) 2025
Moon is a quick, strong point guard with strong handles and crafty finishing ability. Able to finish through contact at the basket. Pushes the pace in transition and consistently attacks downhill. In the halfcourt she’s able to get past her defender off the dribble. Uses screens well and attacks off the pick. Good playmaker in the halfcourt. Solid on ball defensive player.
2. Jada Sanders – Etiwanda 2024
Sanders is a strong forward with a solid inside/outside game. She can get good position in the post and she has good footwork. She makes her move quickly and is efficient around the basket. She can step out and shoot the face up jumper in the midrange as well. Makes strong cuts off the ball to the basket. Rebounds well in traffic with proper box out.
3 Deedee Berry – Birmingham 2024
Berry stood out most for her defensive ability. She’s a long, wiry forward who can cover a lot of ground defensively. Able to cover ball-handlers with her mobility and long arms. Most of her play came off ball. She runs the floor well, sets good screens and can be a finisher at the rim. Hits the offensive glass well to clean up misses.
4.
Maya Deshautelle

Deshautelle was one of the more impressive wing scorers at the event. For a young player she has a strong offensive game. She’s crafty at the basket and has good body control to finish around defenders. There’s no wasted movement with her, everything is quick and decisive and with purpose. She was comfortable creating her own shot. Definitely has high upside.
