Indiana has long been known for its depth and talent when it comes to college basketball prospects. That’s why this state and region possess some of the most elite college basketball programs at all levels. Below is a look at five young ladies in the Class of 2026 who currently fall outside of our Top-35 Rankings list, but who should be viewed by many of those college programs who enjoy finding hidden gems in the Hoosier state.
Laila is an intriguing young post prospect with a lot of potential. She has tremendous length, broad shoulders, and she looks like she might still grow another inch or two. She is a solid run-and-jump athlete who transitions well from end to end. At this point, she is more of a defender/rebounder than a major offensive presence, but she’s so effective defensively that she saw a few minutes at the Varsity level on a very good Ben Davis team this Winter. As she continues to build her offensive skillset, she should only continue to take off. The Lady Giants have a recent history of developing young bigs throughout their careers.
Keadriah is a nice, athletic guard who makes plays at both ends of the floor. She has really good length at her height, she changes directions fairly easily, and she can create offense off the bounce for herself or for teammates. She is more of a downhill attacker with a nice mid-range pull-up game, so as she continues to improve her perimeter shooting consistency, watch out. I also like her willingness to get inside and rebound, plus she’s a versatile defender. She can cause havoc for point guards with her length and quick feet, but she can also defend bigger wings with her wiry strength at her age.

A lot of people are very familiar with classmate Lillian Barnes Lillian Barnes 5’11” | SF Valparaiso | 2026 State IN , but Cadynce is another really nice, young prospect for the Lady Vikings who should not go overlooked. She has a strong frame with broad shoulders, solid length, and she’s a nice North/South athlete who can get downhill and absorb contact fairly well. She can handle the ball a little bit and initiate the offense, plus she can knock down on open rhythm jumper with some consistency. Defensively, she is a willing rebounder, and she uses her physicality well, so now it’s just a matter of continuing to learn angles while improving her balance and quickness.
Highlights
Mary has looked noticeably stronger and more confident this Spring. She is a solid athlete in most directions, and she has always had a nice floor presence, but she looks like a Freshman season spent on Varsity really helped her with poise in pressure situations. She is handling the ball well against defense, moving it to open teammates on time/on target, but she has also been a consistent shooter when she’s able to get her feet set and find rhythm. She’s another prospect who could benefit from a little more work at the defensive end of the floor, but I do like the fact that she is a willing rebounder at her position.
Highlights
Ellah is definitely a bit of an under-the-radar talent, but she has a great deal of upside that a lot of local colleges would like. To begin with, she is a highly accurate perimeter shooter with a quick release. She shoots it at such a high level that plenty of high schools had to chase her around at the Junior Varsity level this Winter. She’s also a nice athlete in most directions, she can handle the ball a little and initiate offense, plus she works hard at the defensive end of the floor. As she continues to gain more and more experience, I look for her to be a highly effective shooter/scorer and draw college interest because of it.
