SubscribeWe recently took a trip down to Bryan, Texas for the Adidas 3SSB tournament and it was one for the ages, the talent was A1 and the teams did not dissapoint as we watched them play in front of about 300+ coaches that graced the building. These kids played hard the whole time out and we got some pretty good evaluations on some new players, we hope you like what we saw and wrote in these articles, well, here we go.
2024, 5’5, PG, Grant Union HS, Leah Nelson Leah Nelson 5'5" | PG Grant | 2024 State CA – She is a solid body type point guard with some athleticism and strength, she is capable of knocking down the three ball with consistency and can also put the ball on the floor and blow by you. She is capable of finishing thru contact and she is good at getting paint touches and kicking out to the shooters, this kid did what she needed to do to help her team try and get the wins this weekend, we enjoyed watching her play, coaches take a good look, she is worth the price admission.
2024, 6’2, PF/C, San Francisco University HS, Gabriella Kelley Gabriella Kelley 6'1" | SF San Francisco University | 2024 State CA – Gabriella was impressive, she had great size and could get up and down the floor and show her athleticism, we were impressed with her. She used her size inside the paint, she rebounded very well and was able to kick out and then get into the lane for easy buckets. She was a decent defender, stayed in front of her opponent, loved the length, cause it bothered the offensive player at all times. She is one to watch as well, keep an eye on her.
2024, 5’10, SF, Desert Pines HS, Trinity Tyrell – big guard with a solid body, runs the offense well and does the will of her coaching staff. Floor general that does not turn over the ball. Shoots the ball from midrange to three and can get to the rim as well. We were impressed with her overall intensity she brought to the game, we have seen her before and we it continue to add worth to her skillset in these evaluations.
2024, 5’9, CG, Santiago HS, Rylee Ghent Rylee Ghent 5'9" | CG Santiago | 2024 CA – decent size guard with a solid body, ball control and handle for her position. Defends well and can get up and down the floor. This kids did all the little things a coach likes, she was willing to defend at all cost, get on the floor for loose balls and take a charge if she needed to.
2024, 5’8, SG, Paramount HS, Kaylani Polk – point guard type that handles the pressure for her team, she makes good decision with the ball and is one of the better ball handlers on the floor. She could score for her team when needed, but her best attribute was she ran the team and did not turn the ball over, she did what her coach wanted an she did with precision, this kid can handle the ball, great floor general in my book.
