Continue ReadingPower 5 schools are rightfully starting to recruit Tabitha Betson Tabitha Betson 6’2″ | CG DME Academy | 2024 State FL . The forward from down under is incredibly polished. DME ran their offense through the Australian and saw her produce 26 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists in a tight 89-85 loss. Betson can do it all. At 6-foot-2, not only does Tabitha have great size, she has great strength. She is well-built, able to overpower most with her sturdy frame, but she is far from being just a bruiser. Tabitha has excellent moves in the low post. She’s patient in the pivot and will work all angles to find good shots, able to score with both hands inside. Betson has point-forward skills. She dissects defenses with her passing from the high post and perimeter. She handles the ball very well and likes to drive and kick to open shooters and will pass up a good shot for herself to get a teammate a great shot. Speaking of good shots, Tabitha can get one from anywhere on the floor. She will stop and pop from three or get all the way to the hoop and score through contact. A rolled ankle hindered Betson in her second game of the night but she still managed 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The red-headed Roo is a stud.
Gordon stood out with her ability to play inside and out. She battled in the paint for rebounds and did a valiant job defending tough post presences. Where Sarah was able to do damage was on the perimeter as she stretched out opposing bigs forcing them to try and guard her. Gordon shines as a stretch-four that knocks down threes at a high clip.

Teams have their hands full with keeping Alyssa Staten Alyssa Staten 6’4″ | C Statesboro | 2024 State GA away from the basket. When she was able to set up shop on the low block, she was effective. Staten used baby hooks without having to put the ball on the floor and even stepped outside to hit a three. Alyssa posted 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals in Game 1 before dumping in 17 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block to close Friday night.
Walker posted 16 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal against SAS Black. She did a good job getting on the glass and had a soft touch around the rim. She stretched the floor in spurts, hitting three jumpers and a floater.

Still a little raw as she has been getting deeper and deeper into playing basketball year-round just recently, Brooke Sheppard Brooke Sheppard 6’4″ | C Clarke Central | 2024 State GA will draw looks from her size alone as she continues to develop an identity. Sheppard has elite size and a frame that could blend in on a college roster today. At a legit 6-foot-4, Brooke has physical tools to work with. She does a good job of showing a clear hand for entry passes on lobs over the defense. She will need to work on getting off the floor quicker, but Sheppard does a fine job of keeping the ball high when she gets it. With her height, Brooke doesn’t need to jump much to alter shots. She tacked on 8 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 blocks in a 60-46 win.
USC Upstate offered Gough in April. The 6-foot forward provides production inside and out. She has nice moves on the block, able to spin for hoops and finish with either hand. Gracynn doesn’t shy away from contact. She can be rugged under the rim when battling for rebounding position. Gough totaled 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in a blow out win.
