Today, we take a look at the MO Legacy 17U squad, that is made up of players from the SWMO area and Kansas. After watching a few games from a pair of Prep Hoops Events, he are some observations on the players that we watched.
Grace Frazier Grace Frazier 5'5" | PG Diamond | 2024 State MO (Diamond): A 5’3″ 2024 point guard who is an excellent playmaker and a bucket who can score at all three levels. She has the speed and quickness to get into the lane and score over taller players and she can also pull up from 3-point range to swish long jumpers. She can also create off the dribble with her slick handles and quickness. She is also a ball hawk on the defense who can apply good pressure. She is very entertaining to watch.
Dezi Williams Dezi Williams 5'9" | SF Carl Junction | 2025 State MO (Carl Junction): A 5’9″ 2025 wing player who has good athleticism and plays with a high motor. She is good ball handler who scores on strong slashing drives to the basket. She’s a good rebounder who also makes hustle plays for loose balls. She gets plenty of putbacks on the offensive boards.
Jacqueline Hall (Pittsburg, KS): A 5’10” 2024 guard who has good length and athleticism, which she uses both to get downhill to the basket very effectively. She has a good motor as she loves to push the pace whenever she has the ball. She is also a very good 3-point shooter, which she displayed in the transition game as well as her movement off of screens.
Landry O’Brien (Labette, KS): A 5’8″ 2025 guard who can turn the corner and get to the basket and score on tough takes through contact. She can score with either hand in traffic. She also makes good use of ball fakes to free herself up on the dribble. She also dropped off some nice dimes to open teammates while on the move.
Scarlett Floyd (Willard): A 5’10” 2024 forward who is a very solid rebounder and defensive player. She gets the ball inside on drop offs, she can finish well off the backboard. She plays very good positional defense as she keeps players in front of her. She can also challenge and block shots inside.
Lacy Brough (Commerce, OK): A 5’3″2025 guard with excellent speed and quickness who also plays with great energy at both ends of the court. She plays in attack mode with her dribble penetration and she can also hit the mid-range jumper. She is also a good screener, which I always like to see. She also competes hard on the defensive end with her on-ball pressure.
Jenna Wilson (Carthage): A 5’4″ 2024 guard who plays with a lot of energy and hustle. She’s small, but she is very fearless as I watched her jump up and battle much taller players from rebounds. She also works hard on the defensive end.
Kayton O’Brien (Labette, KS): A 5’6″ 2024 guard who was impressive when she was getting downhill on the attack in the lane. She was very effective and drawing contact and getting herself to the free throw line.
Rylee Boyes (Galena, KS): A 5’6″ 2025 guard who is a very good ball handler who has the ability to break down defenders off the dribble. She used a nice in and out move to get into the lane, where she can finish with either hand. She could also knock down the Corner 3-pointer.
A couple of players who are on the roster, but weren’t in action in the games that I watched were Kylie Scott Kylie Scott 6'3" | PF Carl Junction | 2024 State MO of Carl Junction and Beclynn Garrett of Neosho. Scott is a talented 6’3″ forward who is very skilled in the low post as a scorer and shot blocker and on the perimeter as a passer and playmaker. Garrett is a 5’10” guard who is a skilled playmaker and shot maker.
