Continue ReadingWe have seen lot of guards who have raised their games from this time last year until now. For some, the confidence is greater than what it used to be, while others have added more tools to the toolbox. Some players are stronger than before, and some have just matured and gotten better through repetition and hard work. In this article, we look at the guards who we consider stock risers and are players to keep an eye on this upcoming summer live period.
Dayla Christopher Dayla Christopher 5'9" | SG Wesley Chapel | 2025 State FL is a long athletic guard who has the versatility to play out on the wings and down on the blocks. Christoper has been dominant in the post at times during the Spring and has also shown consistency in knocking down the midrange shot. She also does a great job of getting to the basket when playing on the wing. Christopher uses her length on defense very well and has a very good basketball IQ. She does a good job of reading the floor and is masterful at drawing charges. Christopher has drawn as many as 5 charges in one game during the travel season. Christopher is on the radar for the upcoming summer live period. Can’t wait to see her attacking the basket and taking the charges on the defensive end.
Victoria Noble Victoria Noble 5'6" | SG Fleming Island | 2025 State FL is one of the top stock risers in the 2025 class on the First Coast. The Sophomore, Noble was MVP of her high school team for her on-court play and leadership on and off the court. Noble can flat-out shoot the ball and brings energy, tenacity, and effort to each and every game. Looking forward to seeing this budding ballplayer continue to get better. She is one to watch during the upcoming college live period.
Addison Fowkes Addison Fowkes 5'6" | SG Carrollwood Day | 2025 State FL is becoming a very good player and continues to add to her game. Fowkes is a consistent shooter who makes the open three at a very efficient rate. Fowkes can take the ball to the rim and also make the mid-range pullup. Fowkes is one to watch during the upcoming live period.
Isabella Leggett Isabella Leggett 5'6" | PG Venice | 2025 State FL has a great basketball IQ. Her ability to see the floor and get her teammates involved on the offensive end is impressive. She is able to draw the defense and locate the open player on the wing or on the post. She can also drive the ball and get buckets. Leggett is a name to know this upcoming live period.
Kaya Langford Kaya Langford 5'7" | SG Canterbury | 2025 State FL is a lights-out shooter who can score in flurries when she is on. She is special in transition. Her ability to sprint from baseline to baseline and get out in front of the defense on fastbreaks is amazing to watch. We’re bringing the popcorn this summer to watch Langford’s speed show on the court.
Ziyah Campbell Ziyah Campbell 5'8" | PF Ridgeview | 2024 State FL is also a guard to watch this summer. She has flown under the radar, but she has been making contributions throughout the summer travel campaign. Campbell showed impressive downhill speed during the spring and was impressive at the recent Candace Dupree Invitational. Campbell’s full-court speed, lateral movement, and quickness in space are impressive. Campbell has a motor that doesn’t stop and she has a desire to keep getting better. We see her working and she has come from under the radar. She will be a force to watch her senior season at Ridgeview and fun to watch during the summer live period.
Nyiashia Grace Nyiashia Grace 5'8" | SG Ribault | 2024 State FL has played well during the Spring AAU season and her athleticism and basketball abilities have come to the surface and from under the radar. She is quick and can get after it on the defensive end, guarding the point guard and the shooting guard. At Candace Dupree Invitational, Grace was pulling up from the top of the key with “no mercy.” She is respectable shooter from behind the arc, and will be a player to watch this upcoming live period. Also, I can’t wait to see Grace during the high school season at Ribault. Her emergence will give the Trojans an extra baller on the court and more Senior leadership.
