Talyat does well playing within the flow, finding ways to be impactful within a couple dribbles. The lead guard is always seeking outlet passes, pushing the pace for transition scoring threats. Through her junior season with 11-13 Dakota Ridge, the guard put up 10.4 points, 3.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.8 steals per game. Talyat shows legitimate value as a spot-up three point shooter, certainly somebody worth the closeout. What makes the guard so impactful is her facilitating, quickly surveying openings and hitting cutters through fairly tight windows.
Bray Pelt Bray Pelt 5'6" | CG Mesa Ridge | 2024 State CO – Mesa Ridge
Pelt continues to increase her shooting volume while staying roughly on par from an efficiency standpoint. Through her junior year at Mesa Ridge, the guard put up 15.5 points, 3.3 assist, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game. Pelt is active at pushing the pace, either off of opposing turnovers or defensive rebounds. The guard put up a fairly high volume of free throw attempts, landing 8th among 5A juniors. Given her confidence handling the ball, she tends to find herself in opportunities to make kickouts once a double or a collapsing defense approaches.
Krystyna Manzanarez Krystyna Manzanarez 5'8" | PG Grand Junction Central | 2024 State CO – Grand Junction Central
Manzanarez provides an impactful point of attack defense alongside leadership qualities at the lead guard spot. The 5’8 guard put up dependable numbers this past season, posting 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 3 steals per game. She will be a worthwhile guard to track, given her high efficiency from the free throw line and ability to initiate offense off the dribble. Whether attacking off a crossover or a simple rip through, Manzanarez is a dependable decisionmaker while attacking the hoop.
Addison Branscum – Mountain View
Branscum has been a frequent cover here, for good reason. The 6′ forward brings a myriad of skills to the table, although her passing game is an area worth taking a look at. Doing especially well at timing outlets up the floor, Branscum is an assertive decisionmaker on the break. Given her growing volume as a downhill scoring threat complemented by efficient shooting percentages, Branscum attracts plenty of gravity. At 6′ tall, she is more than capable of seeing above the defense to make the next read on doubles. Through her junior season with 14-10 Mountain Range, the guard posted 20 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.
Madison Moyers Madison Moyers 5'10" | SG Roosevelt | 2024 State CO – Roosevelt
Moyers has shown prowess as one of the state’s premier shooters within the 2024 class, knocking down 42% of triples. Given her notable shooting gravity, she has had more opportunity as a downhill driver, where her passing vision has gotten a chance to shine. Typically making a decision within a couple dribbles, Moyers must make quick reads before stagnating the offense. Luckily, the guard has figured out how to make those next passes, often kickouts to shotmakers after help stunts the lane. Through this past season with Roosevelt, the junior posted 11.6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.
