Corona del Sol (AZ Fire)
Hinder impresses more every time I see her. She was making things happen on both ends of the floor. Her offensive game is coming around and she showed a nice touch out to the perimeter. On defense her wingspan stifled multiple opponents. She has very good timing in blocking shots
Sophia Yancy Sophia Yancy 6'4" | C Desert Vista | 2025 State AZ Desert Vista (AZ Supreme Blue)
Yancy displayed soft hands and a good touch in the painted area during the event. She has very good footwork and did a good job to showing a hand to the perimeter players throwing the ball in to her.
Makayla Carter Makayla Carter 6'2" | PF Mountain View Marana | 2025 State AZ Mountain View Marana (AZ Supreme Blue)
Makayla is a good athlete who rebounded well and did so with the ball at its highest point. Many players wait for the ball to come to them but Carter jumps up to get the ball. On offense she didn’t get many opportunities but when she did she had a nice soft touch.
Rachel Roderick Rachel Roderick 6'3" | C Camp Verde | 2024 State AZ Sedona Red Rock (Arizona Elite 17U Gold)
Roderick is a forward/center who was effective around the rim and also showed that she is comfortable stepping outside of the paint as well. She rebounded very well throughout the weekend using her body to shield off opposing players.
Taylor Sipfle Taylor Sipfle 6'4" | C Hamilton | 2026 State AZ Red Mountain (Arizona Elite 15U Elite) (Featured Image)
Sipfle was a post that imposed her will on defenders. She was hard to move and easily established whatever position she wanted. She’s a true post that all of her damage is done around the rim. Taylor rebounded very well and did a good job of outletting the ball to her guards.
Saige Miller Saige Miller 5'11" | PF Desert Ridge | 2024 State AZ Desert Ridge (Arizona Elite Gold)
In my first time seeing Miller I was impressed. She showed good hands and moves while operating in the post. She was very effective as a shot blocker as she blocked or altered quite a few shots.
