This past week many of the 2023s signed on with colleges. Some talented 2023s on the First Coast and around the State still have yet to commit anywhere. In this article, we look at some of the unsigned seniors who are still playing on the travel circuit and looking to sign on and play at the next level.
Pollard’s athleticism jumps off the page, and when she is on the floor she is usually the most athletic player on the court. Her game and skillset also garners a lot of attention on the court: Speed is one of her main assets. She is dangerous in transition and can get up and down the court with quickness and purpose. Pollard has amazing jumping abilities: Her verticle jumping ability is scary impressive. She can elevate and get to the rim off of one foot or two feet. She can back down a defender, use good footwork and create an open shot with great elevation. Pollard can also finish on both sides of the rim with the left and right hand. At Apachee Memorial, Pollard had the full skillset on display. She averaged 15 points per a game against some quality opposition: CFE’s top team, TBW, Brandon Wright’s top team, and Midwest Elite (a top Adidas program that finished 4-1 in the top division). She attacked the rim with a vengeance, rebounded well, led the break and shot the 3 at an incredible rate of 60 percent. Pollard is one of the top unsigned Seniors in the State.

Highlights
McDowell is probably one of these top athletes on the First Coast. She is small in stature and big on confidence, heart, and athleticism. McDowell is a super aggressive player who applies great pressure on the defensive end. On the offensive end, she is an aggressive player who attacks the rim at every chance she can. McDowell has a good midrange game and can knock down the three. She thrives in the transition game, and it’s there where the athleticism is in full display – the speed, quickness, the vertical, and the hang-time. Recently, in the Jax Magic Tournament, McDowell averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.

Taliaferro does a little of everything on the basketball courts. She has a nice midrange game, she rebounds well, and she is a terror in the transition game. She is crafty at getting behind the defense and scoring easy buckets. Taliaferro has a great understanding of putting points in the books. She has played well this travel season and has shown that she can knock down the three point shot. Last weekend, Taliferro averaged 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists per game in the Jax Magic tournament.
