We will include cities in New Mexico such as Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Rio Rancho, Farmington, Hobbs and others. This first segment will be the top ten rankings from Albuquerque ranked 10-6, following with 5-1 sometime this week. ***High School Division Only.
#6 Alyssa Maes Alyssa Maes 5'8" | SG St. Pius X | 2024 State NM | SG | St. Pius X: Alyssa Maes Alyssa Maes 5'8" | SG St. Pius X | 2024 State NM from St. Pius X is in the conversation as one of the state’s top shooting guards heading into her senior year next season. Despite being labeled as a two-guard, she has an all-around game that isn’t just defined through her scoring. She rebounds well for a guard, dishes it well to her teammates and is a solid leader on the floor. She averaged over 17 points per game and 5 assists per game as a junior. Alysa Maes led St. Pius X in both categories in 2022-23.
#7 Audriana Wright Audriana Wright 5'10" | SF Sandia | 2025 State NM | SF | Sandia: Audriana Wright Audriana Wright 5'10" | SF Sandia | 2025 State NM is one of the states most versatile players that could play positions 1-5 on both ends of the court. In 2022-23, she was a consistent double-digit scorer and the glue to the Sandia Lady Matadors team success. She knows how to control and dominate a game in multiple areas and isn’t a one-dimensional player. She is in the conversation as arguably the states top pure passer as a playmaker, plays extraordinary defense and can score at a high level when needed.
#8 Jordyn Dyer Jordyn Dyer PF La cueva | 2026 State NM | GF | La Cueva: Even as just a freshman, Jordyn Dyer Jordyn Dyer PF La cueva | 2026 State NM was nearly a double-double threat as a shooting guard. She plays bigger than what she is and is very efficient with the basketball. Jordyn Dyer Jordyn Dyer PF La cueva | 2026 State NM makes a lot of her damage inside the paint and is a nice finisher around the rim. She gets many scoring and second chance opportunities with her offensive rebounding with her effort. As a freshman, she was the La Cueva Bears leading scorer and rebounder this past season.
#9 Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM | CG | Volcano Vista: Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM relished in her new role for the Volcano Vista Hawks this past year. There was a lot of questions about how the guard would play this past year after losing their championship core to graduation the year prior, but those questions were answered quickly. Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM became the team’s second leading scorer behind teammate Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM and played with consistency for much of the season. She did a good job running the offense when asked to, did well play off the basketball by playing either guard position, showcased limitless three-point shooting and clutch late game free throw shooting. All of those things were factors as to why Volcano Vista made it to the 5A Girls State Championship Game for the fourth straight year.
#10 Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM | PG | Del Norte: Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM put the Del Norte Knights on her back this past year as a sophomore. Despite not a lot of team success, Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM improved a lot across the board. From her freshman year to her sophomore year last season, you could see a lot of development in her game beyond her scoring. It was fun to watch and will be exciting to see what she can add to her game going into next year as a junior.
