There were a lot of players that made my eyes wide and my pen hit the paper. It makes my day when I see players like that. The chance to see special players “Made My Spring”. I’m going to give an example of 5 players that I saw that did just that!
This young lady has been putting on a show with Michigan Anarchy . I love the way she plays, letting her game take over and doing what she does well. Jones has shown that she can attack off the bounce as well as with the jumper. She’s been a dynamic scoring threat that defenses have to account for.
Highlights
Lundquist was terrific this spring and made a big statement about her game. It was exciting to watch her excel. Lundquist was at or near a rebound-point double-double almost every game that she played in. She was incredibly steady on both ends, but has become an elite post defender.
Dillard has created a name and a niche in the world of Michigan high school basketball. It’s been fun to watch her game and confidence grow. Dillard is an elite mid range player with strength and touch. That being said, she can still bury a jumper from behind the arc as well as finish at the rim. Dillard is a gritty and versatile defender that has thrived this spring with UTS.
Highlights
Woods was terrific with the Michigan Goonies this spring. She showed that she can and will be a dynamic playmaker. Woods doesn’t wait for the game to come to her, but instead successfully turns the game into what she wants it to be. She can create off the bounce and finish with controlled athleticism.
Kotowicz had a huge spring season with The Naturals . She did grassroots season right by turning heads, drawing attention to her game and putting herself on the map as a prospect. Kotowicz proved that she can be counted on as a go-to scorer that gets buckets in a variety of ways. She was also very solid on the glass.
