Norman is a skilled multi sport athlete that could be very intriguing to coaches and fun to watch for fans of the game. She’s a very good defender in the paint and has the footwork needed to slide over and play solid help defense. Norman is very active on the glass where she uses her strength and verticality. She’s highly efficient offensively with her ability to pick good looks close to the rim.
Wayne Memorial has a real nice track record of producing next level talent and Bryant is certainly adding to that legacy. The hard nosed lead guard has become an elite player in the state and is collecting Division 1 offers at the moment. Western Michigan, Canisius and Iona have all offered recently. Bryant is a punishing downhill guard that creates off the bounce and pressures the defense.
Highlights
Marian is a team full of a lot of high upside talent, so I went with a player that I probably haven’t covered as much. Bingham is more than worth a watch at the Summer Sweet 16 Shootout. She has quick feet and can change direction in the blink of an eye. Bingham can get red hot with her jumper as well. Coming off an All-Area Honorable Mention season, she could be ready to help Marian make another deep playoff run.
Ode is a big time talent that college coaches are sure to be tracking through this event. Her ball skills have developed immensely and she has truly turned the corner as a player and prospect. Ode has that unique combination of length, toughness and ball handling that is hard to find. She’s having an excellent grassroots season and has been turning heads for months now.
VanTimmeren is an elite prospect in the state and is a must see player. She has the ability to stretch the floor as a forward with 3 point range on her jumper. VanTimmeren is a very active help side defender that can use her length to challenge shots. She is a high IQ player that understands spacing and has a knack for finding soft spots in the defense and getting looks off them.
