Chicco came into Friday as one of the state’s top three point scorers, while showing a diverse portfolio tonight. Doing well of getting to scoring opportunities off the bounce, the incoming senior was notably versatile getting to her playmaking opportunities. One area especially intriguing has been her facilitating off of the dribble, contributing on bounce passes towards rollers and one handed kick out passes. Her role as a facilitator will heavily impact Rocky Mountain’s upside this coming season.
Gianna Smith Gianna Smith 5'9" | CG Arapahoe | 2025 State CO – Arapahoe – 2025
Smith was quite possibly the toughest backcourt threat to guard at this event, getting plenty of made buckets off the dribble. The 5’10 guard was automatic getting to her mid-range pullup jumpers. Smith was adept creating space with her step back, proving consistent at using the side step or step-back to hit shots over her immediate defender. On top of her craftiness in the mid-range, Smith seeked out looks around the rim, utilizing an array of combo moves to break down the defense before drawing contact. Within that 2025 class, there are very few backcourt prospects with her grit, going at the best opponents and finding ways to get a bucket no matter the obstacle.
Shyann Farbes Shyann Farbes 5'8" | CG Eaglecrest | 2024 State CO – Eaglecrest – 2024
Farbes continued to showcase her craftiness off the dribble, proving incredibly tough to stay in front of. She was automatic getting to her mid-range pullup jumper, utilizing step-backs most often to create space. Farbes was equally capable creating space off the bounce from crossovers, rocking back and forth until her opponent lost positioning. Her lateral quickness on the defensive end was valuable, proving effective at guarding both backcourt positions.
Kenna Wagner Kenna Wagner 5'6" | CG Rocky Mountain | 2025 State CO – Rocky Mountain – 2025
Wagner had the ball on a string going either direction, keeping her head on a swivel at all times. The incoming senior will be a stabilizing presence for Rocky Mountain, proving capable at controlling the pace without being a turnover risk. Going either direction, Wagner has complete control of the opposing defense. Defensively, she was quick laterally, keeping up with opponents regardless of straight line drives or quick changes in direction.
Emma Lytle Emma Lytle 5'8" | CG Valor Christian | 2024 State CO – Valor Christian – 2024
While not standing the tallest, Lytle is always crashing the glass on both ends. Proving to be unsatisfied until the defensive side has been secured. Her defensive intensity was a joy to watch, proving assertive helping onto drivers or ball hanlders who picked up their dribble. Her intensity played a vital role in the program’s success through Friday. Her offensive production is complementary in nature, proving valuable knocking down threes off of the catch and attacking hard closeouts when the lane opens up.
Rylie Beers Rylie Beers 5'10" | CG Valor Christian | 2025 State CO – Valor Christian – 2025
Beers continued to embrace her defensive versatility, proving highly impactful for a dominant Valor Christian group. The forward does notably well through her defensive anticipation, seeing passing lanes and jumping at opportunities. She remains a sturdy presence, capable matching up well against three positions. Beers is immediate getting downhill following the closeout, proving consistent getting to her spots around the rim and finishing through contact.
